When I was a bit younger i was obsessed with having the high end makeup and trying out new looks and what have you. I loved smashbox, mac cosmetics, pur minerals, benefit, and nars just to name a few. And can you guess what my favourite store was ..... yes yes it was sephora.
Though I would still love to win a shopping spree there my priorities have changed. I dont wear makeup most days only for important things an interview or a wedding.
How have your makeup habits changed over time?
What are some of your favourite brands to use regularly or even to indulge in from time to time?
:)

I used to like a lot of the high end cosmetics too but I don't hang out anymore since I got married and have kids, I would only get the inexpensive ones these days for using it once in a long time, not that I don't care my appearnace but there is no extra money to spend on those unnecessity anymore.

I have never really been the type of person who cares enough about what their face looks like that I would bother to wear any kind of make up at all, so it is not something that I think about all that often. However, the make up that I do use tends to be of a good quality, because I see that so many people wear things that don't suit them and that are cheap and you can tell that they're wearing it badly. I don't like people to be able to tell that I am wearing make up when I choose to do so, so I will always pick a relatively expensive brand so that I look the best that I possibly can.

I used to go gaga over make-up when I was younger. I would buy all shades of whatever color I wanted for a day then buy another shade the next day. In all brands! I have great palettes and have the complete sets of some. I loved mac, max, loreal, etc. and I could put on 3 different shades of lipstick to get that perfect shade! hhahaa... I had learned how to put make-up naturally and have always been applauded by my co-workers and clients for a fresh looking face all the time!
But I guess it all stopped when I left my make-up kit at a taxi cab one night and I cried my eyes out when I could no longer reach the driver because there were still make-up there that weren't used. Some were saved for a special occasion that never came! :(
After that incident, I promised never to cry over make-up again. Now, I still do have a decent number of make-ups and I still know how to wear them properly, but I didn't invest too much anymore to brands. What concerned me now is the fact that I should just have a palette enough for a natural fresh look with out the need to go overboard.
Not to mention the fact that I got pretty traumatized after my kit was lost and the fact that I was traumatized when I got a closer look with my aunt who was a fashionista and when she put make-up on me one time, I got a closer look at her putting her own make-up and was traumatized when I saw how loose her lids were from years and years of putting make-up! They literally stayed in one place and she needed to "arrange" them back to their places!!!!!! Whew! I swore I'll never put too much on my lids again! hahahaha..
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Makeup is so expensive now days. I always went with my own look. I think makeup should extentuate a person's nature characteristics. I used to wear alot of makeup and did so everyday but I don't wear any now. I like the lesser known and not so expensive brands. But ALmay, Olay and several others.

Our perspectives in life really change as our priorities change too. When we were single we care a lot for our self only but when we mature we care for our future and thus we minimize luxury in life. Cosmetics's brand category doesn't matter , price and quality do.
