it seems like the body is the easy thing to shut down when relaxing, its the mind that I cannot shut down. what trick does anyone have in doing so? i seriously would like to hear.
Right now I am seeing a Pysch, a therapist, going to group therapy, writing, drawing, sometimes walking /exercising, listening to music, napping with the help of sleep drugs OTC.
My brain right now is one giant thunder and lightning storm and it will NOT stop storming in my brain.
Any suggestions from ANYONE is truly appreciated

Have you tried picturing yourself in another place? It can be calming like a soft flowing brook, or even exciting like a raft ride down rapids. Music also helps as well as scents, like the first member said. I do this at home or while I am out if I begin to feel overwhelmed with life...:)

I have the same thing. There's been days where I haven't slept, my husband said at one point to go see a doctor, but I never moved my feet. My mind seems to relax more when I don't feel like I'm the only one that's constantly got there brain running. I just joined myLot but chatting with other people has already distracting me from thinking about everything else! A hot shower or bath is always nice too:) with aromatic scents around
