There are witnesses that will really tell what they see but some witnesses also are too afraid to tell what they saw.I have not a witnessed a crime before but I have just noticed that they are really are frightened to tell the truth.Maybe their lives will be also in danger. But if I ever witnessed a crime, I will never be afraid of people who do bad things.I will do it for the victim and his or her family.I will help them just to make the bad guys suffer what they did?How about you guys?

Here in Canada they have crimestoppers and we can phone in tips anonymously, but you are right, you can get into so much trouble on the streets type thing, I mean people will mark you. If you have to testify in court, I don't know....I mean I'd do it all anoynomously if I can. But there's the other side - don't rat. Street people hunt out rats. Really tough I know. I just hope I don't get caught in a situation like this. I do believe in that code (keep quiet and mind my own business), I know it's not the best way, but one's gotta protect her self.

Its really hard, I once here in Mexico witnissed a man shoot someone. I was so afraid to call the police. I feared the guy would find out it was me and come shoot me. I waited 3-4 days and went to police to report him. And they told me they already had him. I was so glad. But I was so worried for days.

It will depend on the situation and the crime. I have already saved person from being victimized of crime and raised my voices against crime and criminal but sometimes i leave the situation without noticing. have a nice time.

I will surely tell what I have saw. If I think it's a dangerous thing to do then I'll ask for protection or ask the police to hide my identity if it's possible. I hate crime and I hate to see the bad guys can do their bad jobs if I'm to afraid to tell.

This is so hard. I have to be truthful to myself. If the stakes are high and my loved ones will be put into danger, then I guess I won't. But if I'm assured my loved ones won't be affected, I might reconsider. It's easy to say go present yourself to be a witness but I have seen a lot of cases when these people with noble intentions ended up losing much more than they could have ever expected. Sometimes it's just not worth the risk.

For the sake of justice to be served and to be given to the victims of such crime, we should inform the authorities if we have witnessed a crime. Not reporting a crime we just witnessed will result into a repetition of that crime. Our vigilance against criminality will help in the peacefulness of our own community.

if this hapens to me... I would probably have to rethink it and think hard of course before being a witness. Though i fear for my life i also feel that i might not even hae a peaceful life and conscience. Thus in the end i just might testify and actually be saying what i saw in a crime. Of course this is something i am not woshng to happen to anyone as it it going to be really traumatic.

If I witnessed a crime, I would of course report it to the police because I would classify myself as a concerned citizen. :)

I would definitely report the crime to the authorities. My heart goes to all the innocent victims. I would help their family in the resolution of the said crime. I'll be afraid for my life but I believe in the witness protection program of the governemnt. Though sometimes it fails, the truth will eventually come out. Sharing those helpful information could only my contribution as responsible citizen of a country. Thanks
