Yeap, and all of 3 months we thougth it was a boy, I guess the family thought it was a boy, or the husband told Hubby it was a boy. Anyway, Mother in Law asked about the nipples on Kitty, ans wondering if it was a girl, and I looked it up and found that male cats can have six nipples. So we also did the butt check - well, er Hubby did LOL I was grossed out :-p Sure enough Kitty was a girl. My daughter was so excited that she was a girl, my son took it nonchalantly :-p

I had the same experience too but the other way around. My brother gave me two kittens before and he said that it was both girl. So I gave them girl names. Only to find out after 3 months that the other one is actually a boy. I couldn't change his name anymore because he is already familiar with his name whenever we call him. So until now, we call him "chloe" even if his a boy.

Well Kitty is a unisex name so at least we didn't have a problem with the name LOL How about changing the spelling of the name like "Cloey" or something like that to make it sem a bit more mascaline? Or call kinda incorporate a nick name liek "Clo Boy"? He'll probably get used to both names like that since they sound so similar.

Well, my boyfriend teases me and he is calling my cat "clong-clong". He said at least it's a little more masculine than chloe. But it's not that good to me though. It sounded like a sound of a doorbell.

I took in 2 cats from a friend that were named Sarah and Jared... well, I was visiting them once at her place before I got the cats and told them they had misnamed their cats because "Sarah" was a he and "Jared" was a she. When I got them I changed their names to Singer and Jellybaby.

Since reading this I had to go gather up my three cats and have a look. I cant tell a difference and they dont have nipples . But all 3 of mine are fixed, so Patches has a scare on her lower tummy, whereas Stripes and Patches don't. I guess if they had their parts I could probably tell. I never really looked when I got Patches & Stripes though. Are they like dogs? Being noticeable?. I hope she fixed, don;t need little babies. My friend got a free cat from a friend, and she was told it was a boy, it got out accidently and came back pregenet (which was a shockier).
