I have a 16 month old and am looking for any new ideas for activities to do with my daughter. She's still going through a phase of putting many things in her mouth yet so some things that I would like to do with her like get the crayons out and let her try coloring, she always puts them in her mouth so we don't do that often. We play outside, with all her toys, sing, dance, read books. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Hi Friend,
I have a thirteen month and she also eats everything. I also read and sing and all that stuff with my baby as well and it does get repetitive. I have started taking her to the mall so she can play their with other children that are young since the older children are at school. You can also try to start a playdate with other children and parents. I also have my baby play with homemade playdough. She enjoys it now since she knows that it isn't food. She did try to taste it but realized it was salty and doesn't eat it as much LOL. She does every once in a while , but since it is safe I do not worry as much. I hope this helps.

My son likes to go to park and swimming when he was a toddler, now he still likes to go. Sometimes if we can't go to the park, we'll play in the front yard. We play with our dog, sometimes we run, sometime we sweep and wash the floor together, etc. I suppose toddler can learn to do some simple house work, to them, it's fun as they imitate the adults.

Forgot to mention, perhaps you can try making a quiet book / busy book for your kid. It doesn't only keep your kid busy with some activities, it helps to develop some skills too. After all, it's fun!
These are some links for making quiet book:

They have jumbo legos which my daughter loves and we bought them when she was 12 months old. She still plays with them now that she is 19 months old. We also got her a baby stroller and big girl chair she loves playing with baby dolls especially now that she is a big sister and we have another baby in the house. She likes trucks and cars which all little kids love. We buy bubbles so on a nice day we go out and blow bubbles or even make our own with dish soap. We play peek a boo, weeble house are fun for little kids to play. Puzzles are great and we even do singing and learning her body parts.

Hi friend, it is really hard to grow up a child, luckily we crossed that stage, now both of my sons have 3 and 5 years respectively. You must watch all the toddlers activities keenly and carefully, as they are interested in eating all the things and always put the different things in their mouth, it will give a lot of health problems to them. Give your full attention to your baby and keep your place clean, spend a lot of time with it and teach the alphabets and show the birds and animals to your baby to start her education
