It is a good point. I will deviate from these other responses. I feel that those who do more damage to the image of Muhammad are those who don't follow his teaching of peace. Jesus told us that exact thing. Your actions, should represent. The image has already been made. Jesus made his image. And Muhammad made his. The records are there. So whatever Jesus and Muhammad did are what they did. Only they can damage their images. Those who don't follow their teachings are shoving people away from wanting to be followers and thus are doing more damage to Christianity and Islam where damage is not needed in a troubled world. If Islam or Christianity are going to be violent, why do we need them?

That is why those of us who know to do right had better do it, and killing in the name of Christ or Muhammad is not following the teachings we learned from them.

I've got a theory, that another Fundamentalist religion is doing this. I've heard rumors that they even infiltrated both muslim and christian communities to spread hate, some said it's the Illuminati( devil/satan worshippers), others think it's some old nazi people who are still alive at this day. what ever the reason is, we shouldn't fell for such hatred.

Thank you. No Muslims responded to my question and they are the ones I really wanted to hear from.

Hopefully by mentioning about Muhammad in your discussion will not get all the muslims angry over you and go berserk and threaten to kill you again just because someone post a response that is critical of him instead of full of praises. Event happened lately should have show you whether what you are being told lately is a fact or a lies. You are free to make your own judgement.

By declaring some statements, it isn't the same as personally practicing it, let alone not every one in this religion want to be peaceful with other especially toward USA and other religions. Obviously your assumption is wrong to the very pulp.

I'm hoping Muslims will think. They have declared Islam is a religion of peace, but their actions don't show that. I don't fault them for getting angry. I get angry when Jesus in insulted, but I follow his teachings to love my enemies. If Muhammad taught peach, how can they justify killing and especially innocent people? How can they declare they love their prophet if they disobey him?

What movie is this?
I agree nobody has the right to purposely insult a religion or religous group or its founder but from what I can understand there's a lot of controversy around the religion, and I"m talking about terrorist attacks that's happening all around the world. Not saying that all Muslims condone it but there's enough that do that's causing legitimate concerns in many world gov't leaders and their countries.
As a person I don't agree with the Islamic teaching/dogma but I also understand that people have the right to their religious beliefs. I've been in debates where there's nothing but insults and goading and they got so bad that I left that part of my life. I'm only willing to listen to honest and intelligent debate on doctrines and issues, not attacking personalities within the religion.

The movie is called, "Innocence of Muslims" and was used as an excuse to attack American embassies.
Of course in the United States, we have free speech. As a Christian, I know how upsetting it can be when someone defames the name of Christ or worse; but we are taught to love our enemies. If Islam is a religion of peach, as they claim, how can they justify killing anyone because of an insult to their prophet? I don't know the Islamic religion, but if Muhammad taught his followers as Christ taught his to do good, wouldn't killing go against his teaching? Wouldn't Muslims who kill in the name of Muhammad be going against him if he taught peace? If they follow Muhammad's teaching of peace, what excuse do they have for ignoring it and killing in his name? Isn't it more of an insult to Muhammad for those who know his teachings to go against him than for those who don't know his teachings to defame him?

is it true in your religion, your bible and your Jesus teach all follower for insulting another religion??
No??
so why many of you insult Moslem?? what islam and Mohammad do for you, so many of cristian always take revenge, always have a negative opinion about Moslem??
why Andres Breivik, a murder from Norway have a negative feeling about Moslem and killed many innocent people because he thinks all of them are moslem?? he knows about Bibble, he is cristian, but why he killed many people?? so where is the peace religion by your Jesus??
c`mon..this is endless conversation..
when you are talking about Islam, i do hope you learn too what`s happen in your religion..
it`s better than attacking another religion...
the sensitive case must be talked with a carefully and completed information

I think we should first help those who are actually living in the DARK AGES. The people here or anywhere when talks about fundamentalists and other orthodoxies I prefer not to talk or give my opinion to that. However in this heated case I would like to share my opinion. The thing is people know everything and everybody has moral senses to judge what is moral and what is immoral. The real thing or reason behind any cruel/ inhuman or condemn able step/ activity is human greed and hatred. I think the present scenario if not controlled will cause another crusade and throw everybody back to DARK AGES.

Well said. I couldn't have said it better myself. Personally I never even heard of this movie until all this happened. Most people I've talked to never heard of this movie until now. By doing what they did they just brought attention to a movie that most likely never would have even made it out of the box office. That being said I believe we are ALL God's children & as God's children I believe we shouldn't hate each other because of our differences, but instead we should try to learn about what makes us different. God is a God of love so how do we should God honor & respect by hating & killing each other? Simply put, we don't.

I too had never heard of this movie until our embassy in Libya was attacked. I don't like hearing bad things said about Jesus, but I follow his teaching to love my enemies. If Islam is a religion of peace, why don't Muslims follow Muhammad's teachings of peace?

I am a Muslim and I agree with you to some extent.
Those who have responded to this movie with violence have not portrayed real image of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. I am also sad for the lives lost in Lebya.
At the same time I believe Terry Jones is also not following Jesus either by making such a movie and spreading hate. He is misusing the right to free speech and that is making the US look bad in the eyes of Muslims.

On another post someone said Terry Jones was not responsible for that movie. I don't know who's responsible for it.
I can't blame Muslims for getting angry about the insult to their prophet Muhammad. I get angry when anyone insults Jesus, but I don't kill anyone because of that insult. I follow Jesus teaching to love my enemy. If Muhammad has taught peace then I can blame his followers if they kill innocent people who had nothing at all to do with any insult, just because someone in the murdered persons country made an error in judgment.
I'm sorry there are people who are stupid and people who over react.

There are millions of Christians just as there are millions of Moslems, I don't think anyone can control all the activity or words of their group/religion, if they could they would be a danger to freedom. I don't believe in insulting anyone. Also taking another human life to me is a horror beyond imagining. I can't imagine hurting another person. How human nature can look upon another's face and want to strike it or kill that person is inconceivable to me. How do we, the human race, rise above these impulses? I think if a person seeks God, they will be filled with God, who is Love (and Life). But I think there are forces in the world who use religions for political reasons, and we never really know who is behind it.

The killing of four innocent Americans in Libya and the protest at American embassies throughout the world made me wonder; if Muhammad taught peace, as Muslims have declared the religion of Islam is, how can they justify murdering innocent people over an insult to their prophet? Aren't you disobeying Muhammad's teachings? What would sadden him more, someone who doesn't know him insulting him or someone who does know him disobeying him?

what`s going on with cristian if another religion make a funny videos about jesus?? don`t you protest the movies??
before talking, think twice....

I am a ROman Catholic and have watch this pathetic movie that led to the protest. Infact, the cast of this movie was fooled and tricked. those dubs didn't materials because they acted on a different script and the title wasn't really "innocence of muslims" but they did change it and spark it. who ever this crappy and senseless director i hope he is found and persecuted for his sins....
Fundamentalist against Fundamentalist, when does it end

The movie was a stupid and cruel thing to do, but what about the reaction from Muslims? If Muhammad taught peace, are his followers disobeying him when they kill innocent people over a movie insulting their prophet?
