After a great season it looks like the owners are going to lock out the players! I think if the NHL loses another season , it will die as a sport down here in the States. So I ask , will you come back to watch hockey if there is another lost season?

I rarely get the chance to watch cable the past 3.5 years, yet I enjoy the Colorado Avalanche, even though the Red Wings seem to be on tv, most often.

So it has happened.
The players have been locked out. And I've read that some of the superstars have gone to Europe to play. That's one thing I like about the athletes, they'll always be wanting to play.
I just can't believe that after a seemingly increased interest in the sport, they couldn't come up with an agreement to avoid the lock out. I guess it'll be the gain of the other leagues, or other sports (maybe the MLS?!).
And yes, even though I am disgruntled, I'm still coming back. Just because it is a beautiful sport. (It may take a while for me to fully come back, but I will. If and when they decide to come back).

That is the difference between the NFL and the NHL, the NHL has more non American players and they can And will just pack up and play in other leagues. So instead of treating the players like children , they have to deal with men! I think the whole season is lost. I'll be back if they come back. All I can say is since 1997, I have been blessed to watch the Red Wings win 4 Times! Any more it would be greedy! So if I have seen my last hockey game it would be sad but ok.

I have never liked watching sports, but I understand there are into them. However, as a small child, all of life in the house had to stop when a game of any kind was on, lest we interrupt Dad, and he would get mad. Now I live with a wonderful man who hates watching sports as much as I do. All this begs the question "where were these spots strikes when I was little, and life had to stop just because the game was on?" LOL

I'm your polar opposite. When the playoffs are on , you could set me on fire and I wouldn't feel it. In fact I think your dad wouldn't have been any good if his favorite sport was on strike. He would be more angry! If this happens it will be the second time in 8 years. It is like kicking me in the stomach.

I'm talking about Ice hockey. the NHL, National hockey League, may be going on strike. It is my favorite sport. they went on strike a few years ago. We lost a whole season.
