Why Some People Are too Negative? Are They Just Simply Lazy?

Yeah, I don't know if this would be going to be a rant, but I will be honest here - am disappointed for some people who look only at the negative sides of things.
These are people who are proposed some changed for improvement, and then thrashed the idea because it's not needed, it's not helpful, it's a bit expensive, it won't work, it's laborious, it's complicated - "we won't change our ways, be it."
Are these people really are born negative minded? Or just Lazy to change something done for so long, which is not working at all?
Share your thoughts guys, some brainstorming in here!

I wouldnt call it laziness. But it is in their genes to criticize and crib on each and everything. I have a close friend of mine who has a similar character. he is good at heart and also hardworking, but the problem is whenever a new plan or idea comes up, he is first there to foot down it.

Ha, same situation here! Yeah, a coincidence mate! So, I guess I won't call it laziness, genetic make-up perhaps? Yay, I might disregard her, since I am here in this company, he has all the negative idea about new plans... stick to the old rules...

I was born optimistic, I have always been positive when I was a kid. But as time passed by, the optimistic me has changed, became more pessimistic, and now I think I can call me a realistic guy. Of course, when I start something big I believe I will succeed, but most of the time I fail, no matter how hard I try. Maybe I am a bit lazy also, but I think that there is some sort of faith in the life of a person, which influences the luck of a person. Maybe this is a wrong perception, but I talk from personal experience...

Thanks for sharing, from your idea and experience shared here, I remember that video I watched from a friend that entitled the "secret" it's the law of attraction... once you attract positive things, they will tell the universe about it and back to you, once you are positive, things that you want will likely come true... want a car? Put a picture of a car in your room, always crave for it while working hard... believe on it? Or is that realistic enough?

Yes, this has some real base, but there are also exceptions. I haven't seen the film, but I have heard about this philosophy, and I partially agree with it. Maybe I am optimistic on the surface only, maybe I don't really believe that I can succeed?

But have you believed something, you think possible to happen? Determination, and energy sometimes comes after work, or that's its fruits.

Uh-oh! I am a pessimist. I always think nothing will Ever be ok . Then I'm amazed when it does. The first method I learn is the method I do things until I find a better way , on my own.So for many things I would the one thinking , this will Never work. Why Am I like this. I think I was born that way or... having to learn that emotions were evil at age 8 had something to do with it. I always thought good was not made for me so why even expect Anything to work out? I'm getting better . I'm more hopeful these days. My guy is hope itself, Always positive.

Glad to know that my friend, yeah, I guess it's genetic make up, so here, I need to understand them... lol... for peace, I don't want arguments at all, I just want to enjoy life, if the change I proposed is not really applicable, it's okay... as long as I have told them already, because it's my part here...
Anyway, am really glad for you Sarah, you make that, just always take "hope"... for everything, am doing that too!

Some people are just into the "complaining" phase and never gets anything done. I really don't know why there are people who keeps on noticing things and would react on it negatively. They are not lazy---they are crazy!

Lazy is not a word when it comes to them not changing and thinking negatively. More like they are afraid to change, so that's why they think about all this negative stuff when you suggest them to change something for their own good.

But when they mainly disregard it because it's complicated and laborious, ain't it lazy mate?

If they do disregard it because it's complicated and takes too much devotion, then yes they are lazy. But most people don't change cause they are afraid to change. :)

I must say they are. Not the big boss, but the subordinate who are likely asked for opinion, get it? They are lazy, they are not afraid, there reasons shows they are...

Some are negative because of things that may have had happened in the past that didn't go their way, hence the cynicism. It's just so easy to give up than to push through and work harder and be optimistic. At the end of the day, we all feel better if we try our best. So let no one deprive you of that chance to do more and stay positive. Even if things do not always go the way we want, at least we know we have exhausted all means and therefore can easily move on.

Yeah, you are right there my friend, there are certain things that are happening not the way we expect or want it... that sometimes caused us to be negative sometimes... but for me, it's better to be always positive and hopeful, thanks for that!

hello bro,
Are you referring to a project?
Maybe they have a good reason why they backed out.
Considering the time, money and effort for an improvement that is not very useful.
Why not suggest something that takes lesser time and money but useful.

Why are you disappointed about someone else's behaviour? Why do you care at all about what others say or how they respond? You are just responsible for your own deeds.
Why people behave the way they do? I assume this has way more to do with their own life experiences plus character as being lazy.
Not everybody is able to improve/develop him/herself (I guess most people are not). To some it's also saver to be negative since if you know the worst scenario it can't get worser anymore and you know on what you can count if things go badly wrong.
Also you have to learn to be positive. If you had parents or teachers who approached you that way they gave you the example how to respond. Human being is not simple neither are the brains.

We see pessimism in people we come across in our colleagues friends and many more. I have noticed myself being pessimist though not on many occasion once I realized that it is of no merit. Pessimism is a feature of some individual. The best person in this world they can take help from, to try remove their pessimism is they themselves. They need to realize that on one hand where it is good to be calculative and being aware of consequences, excess of same becomes the reason for them being too cautious over certain matter which is rather bad.

I think it's a combination of both. Because when you're lazy, there's nothing good in your sight that you will just refuse to do anything about it. You only see the bad so you will have an excuse not to do it.
We really can't tell for sure why people are like that. Sometimes they're already born with that kind of attitude lol, or it simply develops overtime. Believe it or not, some people can find happiness if they see people who are badly affected because of their attitude. It sort of gives them that power like they can control you, or something like that.

I also have been trying to figure this out. I have got quite a few friends that lives a negative world and most of the time I get into heated arguments with them because of this. It gets me on my nerves when they only see things in their own perspectives and think that they are the only ones in this world facing problems and all. No matter how hard I try to make them see the brighter sides of things, it just never works. Maybe they are born to be this way and therefore, all we can do is accept them as they are. However, one must be careful when dealing with negative people because we might end up becoming like them if we let them influence us.
