Silly mistake

I have been facing problem in accessing one of my accounts with an online site for the last over one year. Every time I use to go to telling "secret account number" and then only I will be able to again modify the password. Again even when I logged in after a minute or so it was not going through. The same thing happened today. Alas, I found I have been loading my id as ...@g.mail.com instead of ....@gmail.com
I realised this mistake-- felt ashamed-- then when i logged in using @gmail.com it was going through correctly.
Please share your experiences online positive or negative like this-- I wanted to share this because may be a few of us may also be committing such mistake without our knowledge.

Ravi, sad to hear about this, we must be very careful while creating our account, give our user name, password and email id in a good manner. Some times i forget my password and use the retrieve option to get it back. I never typed my email id wrongly and got this kind of issues. Once i forget my pin and retrieved it using my email id and password, we must be very careful with this kind of important things

This happened in respect of paypal account. yes. You have to believe me. For the last over one year I use to get wrong password - the give my bank account number - get link for changing password - and then ask for remittance like that i was doing. today also it happened and I realised.

shocked to know you made a mistake with your paypal account and faced a problem with it, luckily you solved it now. We must be very careful while dealing with money matters

I am sharing an info about paypal. In respect of accounts of Indian residents -- they take automatic transfer instructions and even though the amount credited is less than $10 it is transferred to our bank account at the end of every day. May be you know this already,

Sometimes this really happen
One time I was trying to log in on my facebook account when it shows password is not working I said what the hell then when I type again I realize that I put my password next to my email 
.

that is nice. you were giving password also next to email. I shared because I was doing the same mistake for over one year and suddenly it struck me today that the website cannot do mistake and I am only doing mistake and corrected it.

we should not tell password to even our friends. also do not give your passwords to others.

This is very like me using work passwords at home and home passwords at work. Or having caps locks on and not knowing it, or hitting the shift key instead of the enter key. I think we all make these kinds of mistakes sometimes. When there was the yahoo issue earlier this year I had some similar problems with security questions and how I was typing things. It was a very simple fix when I finally figured out what was wrong.

It is good if we can understand that we are doing mistake. but in my case I did not realise for nearly one year and I was thinking that something is wrong with that site. happy you could fix up the error and get rid of it. good day.

Well, I fully agree with you, that anyone can commit these typos in the text, completely without his knowledge.
To be honest to me sometimes I happened to bump into similar errors. Luckily, on the internet do not treat bank account numbers or other sensitive data.
With the keyboard takes very little. Put a point where no go, one spacebar not beaten, and another for a moment could "get you out of head," because now you can not certainly understand the reason why you can not get access to your site, believing instead of entering the right credentials.
Do not worry, I believe that similar mistakes are happening at least at once, to everyone!

how are you? it is so nice of you to tell good words. i do not have problems with email accounts which i operate every day. but a few email accounts which i access rarely i do forget the passwords. but nothing important lies in them.

I'm quite well, dear friend. I was thinking that about your typing errors keys to access to sites, I hope they are simple things. That is not a question of having to make access to banking, etc..

I think that everybody sometimes commit mistake by typing his username or password in Internet. Those data are case sensitive, and we have to be precise when we type our mail or password.

how are you? not meeting for a long time. good. you are telling correctly that these data are case sensitive--lower caps or upper caps. that is one. the mistake i did was not realising that i have typed g.mail instead of gmail. good day

thanks for the response. I have not faced problem with yahoo account. once i faced problem in rediffmail account and it took a few days to resolve that. we should not forget passwords.

hello ravi,
Actually, I don't remember all my email and passwords.
I am using different email and passwords with earning sites and social sites.
I am also using a different official email for private use.
So, I am having trouble when it comes to logging in because I usually mixed my email and passwords.
I need my notepad whenever I check or open other sites that I seldom use or open.
but with mylot- I never logged out

I know I know. you are into mylot all 24 X7. you enjoy and are doing it. so no problems. yes. maintain a note pad so that this problem will not come. But i was feeling sorry that I gave email id wrongly as g.mail instead of gmail.

Oh ravisivan it happens many time that with a silly mistake we are stuck. Now I have won $14.72 in a lotto and now I forgot the password of the site to play more lotto with the same money and also if I want to withdraw that money. I am trying from when But I can't get the right password. I wish to remember it fast. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

hey ravisivan , this is a common problem with me as the connection is slow. i face it while using facebook. while the page is loading i typed the e-mail id and start typing the password but when the page is loaded completely the cursor automatically shift to the user-name box and some part of password is typed there.
