While this morning is not overcast and the breezes now are pleasantly cooler, could this be the turning point from hot and steamy to pleasanter milder fall weather. My table mate complains that its a heat wave but maybe I am just getting reconciled to being too warm. our July was unusally cool and pleasant and not typical weather. ARe we also having global warming' r just weather as usual? your take fellow my lotters. we have at least not had some of the really bad electric storms that much of the East had a while back.

hi ravi its so dry here the authorities are w rning of fire danger in the forests and probably forbidding making camp fires. I have not had to wear a sweater in weeks. Our July was not at all like usual as we had hardly any hot weather.but August and sept are hot hotter and hottest. Canada's weather is usally much cooler than here I 'know that.I am so longing for just a little cooler weather here. We have already had a number of wild fires in our forests here u sually all ar e started by arsonists. a few by lightening strikes.

Here in Ohio we've had pleasant weather in the 80's and low humidity. Today it is clouding over and the temp has dropped to 61° with a nice breeze. We will have rain soon, I hope it's a lot but it's not supposed to be. I don't think the earth is getting warmer because of anything specific. If you study weather patterns, the earth warms and cools on a regular basis. In fact, remember in the 70's when the magazine covers were all shouting "Another Ice Age is Coming!!!!"? People back then just shrugged and figured it would be good for the clothing industry! Now we all panic and run around like Chicken Little when the climate fluctuates. Fall is on the way and I'm glad. I hope we get some beautiful leaves this year with the colder temps!

hi dragon just had to shut my windolw hot breezes with mositure from the p acific so now its not o nly hot but humid. I think you are right its just the typical changes of old mom nature. You now hered in southern California we have few deciduous trees sol we have little of the beautiful fall colors we had in South Dakota where I was born and raised. I do miss that and the states around you all have real falls. here we have s ome warm weahter all year round yet we do have some cold da ys in Dec and January that last year were down to freezing,.I am hoping October will be more fall like. here we have so many flowers blooming all year round and the seasons are not really defined,.

Yes the weather here is slowly improving too. For the past months it hardly rain and it was a living hell enduring the strong heat. I've to keep myself indoors most of the time to avoid being baked by the merciless sun. The downpour was a great blessing to neutralize the heat and to revive the 'semi unconscious' plants. I hope the dry season is coming to an end soon.

hi zandi its so dry here the authorities are warning against camp fires in our forests because the woods are so dry any spark would set off a huge fire.its humid today and hot too so close d our'window and turned on the air conditioner and its only noon here.i have not heard of any water rationing but it will probably come. Lots of people water their lawns for hour wasting a lot of water that run s off into the street.A rain right now would be wonderful as everything is parched here.

Lately here the weather has stayed fine with the temperature being 20-25 degrees centigrade. Not a cloud is to be seen in the sky every day.It is just the season in which the autumn sky is clear and the air is bracing.

It seems to be a uncertain weather there. However 86 is equal to 30 degrees centigrade, it can't have been too hot.Over here it is still unbroken fine weather and there is a hint of autumn in the air.

I think that scientists are pointing to global warming and changes in the polar ice cap while forecasting a much more severe winter here in the northeastern US, like what we had in 2009 and 2010. I think that between the volcanic explosion that happened in Greenland and the massive earthquakes that happened in Japan are also contributing factors. I'm on the east coast, though a bit inland now (I was in Jersey, now I'm in NE Pennsylvania), and this week has been much more comfortable for me. I do better in lower humidity-the heat isn't entirely uncomfortable for me, it's the humidity that just knocks me out. So glad to hear that things have improved there for you.

UGH! I'm so sorry Hatley-that had to be so uncomfortable for you today! I miss having central air-I was spoiled growing up. We had central air in both of our homes (that I recall-I don't really remember the first one) growing up, except for the two years we were building our home and during that time, we had great cross-breezes! My home didn't have it, but later on, I was able to have it installed. It didn't work too great because I didn't have that many ducts that worked throughout the house and only 2 for the upper two floors (the oldest part of my home was built in the 1830s!). Window air conditioners only work so good!

Actually, climate change is a far more accurate term than global warming. What is happening is that weather patterns around the world are undergoing unusually high variability, so that some places are getting much warmer than usual, some colder, some dryer, some wetter, and major weather events are increasing in number and ferocity. I accept what many climatologists are saying, that it's too late to reverse the damage, but perhaps we can control the severity of the change if we alter our industrial practices and decentralise our populations. Whatever happens, we are going to have to get used to weird weather for the forseeable future. Lash

hi grandpa lash . I am slowly unmelting as the a ir conditioner is finally cooling off our room. yes climate change is more accurate.we had a much warmer winter here than usual too and July was not hot like it used to be but today was a scorcher but here it does not bring a cooling off storm like back in South Dakota in the summer with hot days of 100 degrees. We wou d get an electric storm and hard rain and the air would be so fresh wow.

well the weather is quite weird lately here too.. when it gets hot it gets REALLY hot.. like the prickly one that hurts the skin... and when it rains here, it rains REALLY hard its like it makes you think how much more water it can pour and how much high the water can gets and ones that makes you get scared because of the lightning and thunder. pretty scary weather.

here in the Us we always have large numbers of people down with the flu so our doctors do recommend it.maybe you do not have the virus there in your country. I do take a multiple vitamin with minerals daily as the food here is not always full of good nutrition in this retirement center.we do so need rain here and its just horribly dry a spark in the hills and forest could start a huge fast burning fire as the winds are up today.

We don't go for flu shot here since my family doctor didn't recommend it. He said it is not necessary in my country here. Now, my son is feeling well a lot and i make sure that he take enough of vitamins and minerals in his daily food intake. Do take care always....

I was reminded last year on holloween we has snow so who know what will happen...But I do know one thing, that the weather is something that can not be messed with.. My Mother use to say, "every time they go/send something out into the universe, the weather acts up"....and she really believed that...

hi bjc you know I bet your mom was right. I read of an experiment some years back seeding clouds to make it rain in some dry area'and turned out to cause hurricanes or something violent instead of the needed rain. It has not rained here in Southern California since this past April. the rangers are warning campers to not build camp fires in the forests as they are now too too dry.just a spakr could trigger a huge deadly forest fire.no overcast this morning so its hot, humid and windy., the dreaded SantaAna wind that dries out everything.also makes driving in some freeway hazordous for trucks and large trailers. Its just too hot and am so wishing for cooler 'weather here.lol

Hi sweetie, Yeh, it's colder here in Ohio today with gloomy weather and rain..ugh. I am not a great Fall person and I'm probably the only one on earth that isn't, haha. I love the Spring and Summer. I can handle Winter until January and then I want it gone. Fall is pretty but we get many, many gloomy yukky days and that's what I don't like. I like the sun. The only great thing this Fall for me is that my daughter Cassie, is getting married in October, so that will make it all worthwhile. It will be beautiful I'm sure on her wedding day with all the gorgeous Fall colors surrounding us. But, another thing I do love is Halloween and that's right around the corner with the other holidays following right after. I like dressing up for Halloween as a witch and going with my 5 year old granddaugher (Lucy) out trick or treating. She will be Michael Jackson this year because she loves his music and dancing, and I know she will wear that well-known white glove. [
