I went to pay part of the hospital bill this month and used the wrong checking account with insufficient funds in it. I was supposed to use the other one but I must have gotten mixed up. I feel so dumb now, so stressed too. Now I have to pay a $35. fee on top of no payment this month. But I have been going over the agreed amount anyways so I hope the hospital doesn't mind and charge me a fee too. I'm in so need of a vacation from everything.

It was an easy mistake to make. You should not worry yourself too much about it. What you can do is contact the hospital to make sure they don't charge you a penalty for what was an honest mistake.

Even if they charge a penalty, why is the penalty so high ? Did it make them work so hard so she needs to pay35$ ?!!
When I had to pay things and I didn't have any money, the bank sent me an alarm leter and charged me 50 shekels that is about 12.5$. And , that was because they couldn't call me , my phone number in house and mobile were different and I didn't acknowledge the bank. That's why I had to pay penalty.

Wilson, thanks for the info. I will try to do that, thanks for the suggestion.
stringer, I only wish the bank would have sent me an email but it's probably not in their policy or something to that effect. It was something I have only did twice in my lifetime. Both not really due to not having enough money.

Don't make feel stupid. Everyone commit a mistake. And just make sure that next time you have to be careful to all that you are doing. :)

Oh you poor thing. I'll bet that really hurt. $35 is not to be sneezed at. That happened to me...twice. I was so angry, I rang the bank to abuse them and they reversed the charge...I didn't even get a chance to abuse them. I barely got through explaining how the error came about. How lucky was that??

we all do simple things like that. I know its irritating to know that you have even more money to pay out just because of a simple mistake. but just be glad it only happened one and not over and over and over. :)
