Same here,my daughter is also addicted to my ipad then she broke it coz she keep on dropping it, she already know how to open it and change the pages though when she broke it i can't get mad coz i know she was having fun of it. Maybe that's the different of having a child coz if they broke it i can't say anything but just nothing since its already broken, it's not the first time she broke my gadget in fact she also broke my cellphone and my compact radio i bought for her, she also broke the microphone as she used to grabbed it if im singing as she also want to sing though she also keep on dropping it. Shes just a child so its alright besides its just a gadget and i can still replace it but not her

Well, as for my daughter as, she had thrown the ipad twice, she get mad because we do not let her do what she wants to do with the ipad, fortunately the ipad got hard cover so it wasn't broken... She had as well throw our cellphone many times, and drop it many times.... She wants to sing also, thats why when relatives are singing in the house, there should be two microphones, one for the one who sings and one for her, and she dont drop it, she had hold it tight so that no one would take it from her... But i had i decided to let her stay away from ipads and computers and cellphones as it is not good for her and the children because of the radiation...

Yes nupur123, we have done that... We have downloaded educational thing on the ipad, we had even a chalboard in the ipad so that she can draw there... So when she sees the ipad she would say, i wanna draw or i wanna write, so when given to her she knows where the icons is and how to go back to menu, after a while she then go to other icons, and touch evrything and then touch the menu button if she doen't like what appears at the screen... Well she is just making alibi to draw and to write to play with the ipad...

Actually these r new generation kids . They r very fast then us and grab all that is new. They even learn things very fast . All we have to do is divert there mind towards good and knowledgeable things which we can also find on ipad . Like games that increase there knowkedge.

Children in this generation is really different they are fast learner, so we need to discipline them as early as they are, for they will understand it somehow what are their limitations in their age...

That's so cute. My one year old nephew grabs my ipad all the time whenever he comes for a visit. Nothing can distract him when he's playing except my ipad. Sometimes he would grab my son's ipad too and my son would get mad at him because he's playing his games on it. Kids nowadays are amazed by this kind of technology!

Kids now are different, really... They learn easily even if you don't teach them, they just watch and soon they are doing it already...

During the first weeks after we bought the ipad, my 2 yo would do the same. He would play with it everytime he sees me using it and i can't do any of my usual internet stuff. I felt that he's becoming so addicted to it that he didn't want to play with his toys anymore. So what i did, i gave him his ipad schedule. He can only use it at 10am to 1pm. After that he'd take a nap then he can play outside with his toys and other friends. He can again use the ipad after his bath and dinner til 9pm thenhe's off to bed. We downloaded bedtime stories so we read before going to sleep using the ipad. At first there's the complains and crying but eventually he learned that i won'tgive in to his tantrums. If he can't stop crying then he can't play with the ipad. Now even if he sees the ipad, he won't get it until his schedule. I set an alarm to mark his schedule so he knows. The funny thing now is i can't use the ipad during his ipad time. Kids are clever. :)

They are really clever, but you had given me an idea about scheduling, but i had to consult it with my husband, for he doesn't like our daughter to play with it for she might broke it or something..
