i enjoy these types of things. i usually don't call them scrapbooks but i like to collect all sorts of things and put them with photos. i collect tickets, pictures, cards, etc. i still want to make a baby book for my daughter. she is about 3 months old now though...plus all my pictures are digital so i don't know how that would work

The whole scrapbook thing is exactly what birdie does but you buy pretty paper cut to fit in the 12 x12 books or smaller with fancy scissors and put many different kinds of decorations around the photos for instance if you are making a book for a little girl then you do all the stuff with pretty girlie stuff and whatever the little girl enjoys doing like my son I am going to make a book from newborn to high school Winnie the Pooh for newborn and sports books for when he played baseball and football it is jusr sort of making a pretty photo book

You can learn more about scrapbooking online and I have written an article about it on my Squidoo page so if you want to see more about what scrapbooking is, how it is done, and the history of the art, you can check on Squidoo by searching for my username that I use here. It will take you to my profile which will then point you to the scrapbooking page. I would post the link here but I am not sure we are allowed to post links.

They used to have a group that met every month at church but that ended I think. There are a few local area (and for me local means other towns around my town as well since this is rural)groups that still get together to scrapbook and socialize. I've never participated other than at the church because I don't have the supplies like the others do so I have nothing really to share. I am hoping to learn more about how to do digital scrapbooking now but I do someday want to be able to invest in the supplies and equipment needed to make good scrapbooks.

Before my husband was diagnosed with cancer, I was running a monthly crafting group through meetup.com. We met every month at a local restaurant where we would first enjoy dinner and then we would get our crafts out and do some crafting while we were socializing at the same time. This was something that I really enjoyed and something that I miss very much now.
However, when I had to start taking care of my husband through chemotherapy, it made it impossible for me to be able to keep up with the group. I would love to find another group of women locally that met up on a regular basis to scrapbook or do whatever kind of crafts. I find these kinds of groups to be really relaxing.
