hey guys there is a fern which is climbing in our front porch and it is massive so the birds have made nests in it. there is a bubul nest and also sparrow nest. bulbul already hatched and took its babies and the sparrow just just hatched and i can hear the sound of the baby birds. The sparrow is so cute and I sometimes feel like catching the babies and keeping them as pet..lol but then I want to let them free also. What would you do?

Hi riya!
In a way you are helping the sparrow to nurture her little ones. They are part of nature and must be protected by us. You know in Delhi number of sparrows has dwindled drastically due to massive urbanization.

It is interesting to hear that chicks of sparrows keep returning to the nest and this makes you smile (may be they are not independent as of now).

Hi, yeah I have protected the sparrows. Oh they were 4 babies and they are flying now. what happened when before they used to hatch, they would fly away and leave the nest forever but this batch is different. they are coming back to sleep in the nest. I saw them yesterday, they are so cute. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I guess you love nature. So you love birds and animals. Therefore I don't think you should catch them.It would be fatal for the baby birds. They are still babies and only their mother can look after them and prepare them for their future. She would train them how to fly and how to protect themselves from cats and predator birds. We can't look after them.If you catch them, they would never be able to fly and ultimately die in their cage.Birds are created to fly. They look beautiful and cute only when they are flying in the open sky or being trained by their mother.
