Are you struggling to understand or write in English?
The Quran does not count as HISTORICAL evidence, which is what this discussion is about.

There seems to be a great deal of difficulty here separating myth from history. With the exceptions of some recent aberrations all of the large religions stem from oral traditions and as a result myth has become a part of them. The historical evidence comes only later and after the fact. That said it is a bit shabby to accept Greek and Hebrew writings as historical evidence while discarding other documents because they are written in Arabic.
The answer to your questions is no and no.

The more I look the less I find. I was a bit shocked to find that there is no historical evidence to support the existence of Mecca at the time Muhammad is said to have lived.

It is not a question of the language in which the evidence is written but the disinterest of the author and of course, evidence of other kinds

This is a religious topic and we don't need to dig out about any historical evidence/s. It is in our faiths and convictions that Muhammad really did exist so did with Jesus. However, Christians seemed to be more neutral and secular about creating such historical evidence/s about Jesus like his shroud, (the shroud of tourine) and so on. But who can say whether those were genuine evidences or just a products of the authors head?

Thank you I am most interested in the evidence in the Turkish Museum and will investigate
Abraham was not Islamic as this religion had not been invented then, those that claim he is, make the logical fallacy of equivocation

I guess the question is very simple. If Muhammad existed what are the historical evidence that he did exist? For example Jesus, there are studies show that he did exist, the place he was born, grew up and places that he went. There are "facts" to support what's written in the Bible about Jesus.
So if Muhammad existed what are those "facts" written in History to support that he did exist?
I don't think that the question is intended to make any confusion about Islam. For me as I understand it, it's just a simple question of someone that would like to know more about Islam.

Kris... I am gladdened that you understand the question, I was beginning to despair! It seemed a simple question to me, yet so many seemed unable or unwilling to understand it.
As far as I can find, and I am no historian, there is no such evidence

The most reliable answer to both of these questions is 'No'.

Hi,
Prophet Mohammed existed, there are lot of historical proofs. He lived in a period where history was somewhat properly recorded. For the evidences sources in historical books I have to refer. Europe and Americas historians record those ages as Dark ages as it was dark there :p
Islam is the way of life as per the creator of mankind, peace in willfully accepting the instructions and guidelines of Almighty God, which existed in the beginning of mankind itself, The word Islam is Arabic, other similar words might have used in the past. Prophet Mohammed was the final prophet assigned by Almighty God, and the completion of Message of Islam, Almighty God revealed the final edition of Instruction manual to the mankind through the final Prophet, and that Instruction manual is 'Quran'.
Prophet Mohammad was not the founder literally, but he was the prophet of Almighty God.

Hi urban, It appears that as with Jesus, there is little evidence for a historical Muhammad. The only positive conclusion which we can be at all sure of is that a Muhammad did live in the 620s and 630s, that he was a warrior who led followers to many victories, and that the names of some people and battles have been preserved. Blessings.

"The only positive conclusion which we can be at all sure of is that a Muhammad did live in the 620s and 630s, that he was a warrior who led followers to many victories,"
I would be most interested to hear some historical evidence to that effect, as far as I know, there is none

I think historical evidence is closely related to faith. For example, some people believe that alien exist and had visited our planet, then they show you some artifacts/historical evidence that support their theory, but some people who don't believe in alien said that it wasn't a historical evidence.... so in my opinion, it doesn't matter how much discussion like this appears, some will believe and some will not.

I really don't know if there is an evidence of Muhammad existence. I neither can tell if he was a real man or just a creation of imagination. But I think same for the existence of every god that made a religion on earth.
I do not prefer reading any religious book with cooked up stories that actually never happened (most of the ancient non philosophical and just religious books are full of cooked up stories). If somebody tells me that he has enough evidence about their god's existence I show them my birth certificate and tell them that I am the god as I can better prove myself to exist better than any god that existed (just in thoughts or in fantasies) on earth and no one can disapprove my existence until unless the government does not make me invisible.
So I think in that case (with government making me invisible) I will be a prophet or messenger or Bhagwan and the government will be the almighty.
