yup i wanted cake and i didnt have mix and i didnt want a whole cake just one for me. i found a recipe online for microwave cake in a mug, followed it and it was great. i had left over frosting too so i used that and it was even better. i did a little ingredient swap on the cocoa because i only had hot cocoa packets but it still worked. oh the second time i made it in a bowl and it was still great. here is the link http://www.tablefortwoblog.com/the-moistest-chocolate-mug-cake

I haven't tried it but this claims to be a workable recipe - and the comments mostly go to prove it!

I've tried making a cinnamon coffee cake in a cup and it comes out pretty good. It's not really cakey, it's more of a souffle, probably because I need to cut back on the egg a bit. I like it though because it's a quick little dessert to have.

I've done something like that; it wasn't a cup that I used, but a tiny metal bowl. I found some cake recipes online & adjusted the recipe so the serving size was 2. I baked the mix in a tiny bowl in my toaster oven. I don't remember how long it took; definitely less than an hour--maybe about 35 minutes. It tasted great, but I think it depends on the recipe you use.

I've tried making those molten lava cakes in a cup before. In a wider, shorter cup for coffee and tea. They tasted really good:)
