Who says men don't cry? I think it depends on the person if you cry or not, if you cry out loud or inside. I don't cry anymore, gave up about that a long time ago, also because it hurts my skin/face (I have lot's of allergies and eczema so it bites into my skin) plus it doesn't feel as a relief at all. It depends on the problems (have a life full of them) how I respond. Can go talk/complain with one of my kids or friends.. go to sleep.. make a plan how to fix the problems or ignore it. I always make a list of problems and their priority. Most problems are a result of an other problem so if you know the head problem. Also there are plenty of problems who solve themselves in time or are no problem at all. A problem to me is if it's life threatening (sorth off). Many times we make/see problems ourselves.

I try to suppress my feelings coz I do not want my kids to see me crying. But when I get to be alone, or in the middle of the night, I just cry until I fall asleep. Crying wouldn't really solve any problem, but at leat it relieves the heaviness I feel in my chest.

Men don't cry, they weep! Anyways, don't worry I myself cry sometimes when I have a lot of problems, but usually when I'm alone at the shower or when I'm lying in bed I shed some tears or two, it makes me feel a little better.

Crying is good way to relieve your stress and emotion, don't worry... men is allowed to cry too, it doesn't deprive a man of masculinity when he cries. In fact that's a good way to bring us back to the emotional equilibrium. That may explain why people find themselves to feel better after crying.
So don't afraid to cry, that's not show that you're weak but it's about the powerful connection between your thoughts and emotion and cry to make yourself feel better, that's alright.

Society seems to give the impression that men should brave things out and be strong. But in my mind, the mind who cries, when his conditioning tells him it is wrong to cry, it stronger than the man who blocks it and hides his tears from others out of shame.
As a Zen practitioner, I don't see it as whether or not a man can cry, but more as the ability to cross one's own boundaries to explore with full awareness that conditioning which scares us. _Derek

I don't believe in this saying. Crying does not diminish one's masculinity and i think this is only brandished by persons who cannot accept their own weaknesses. And to me refusal to recognize one's limitation is a cowardice act for no one is perfect and everyone of us has his own flaws and weaknesses.

Well don't let things pile up in your heart and try to pour it out even it it was to some stranger online or anything. it is very bad and since you feel like crying, cry out loud and feel relieved. And next time please don't keep things inside for long. it is for your own good. I do the same. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
