Another strange happens in my electric bill.

I have a discussion last month that I was ranting about the electric bill that went up.
I just receive my bill right now and what a surprise
It was down for almost 95% that cost only $4.21 (175.00 pesos). I don't know what happened to this
company. Is the reader man only guessing the numbers that they put on the records.?
Im happy now but I hope next month It won't be a big surprise again of getting it double or
triple on the normal reading.

Oh yeah they mostly do estimate and give bills and circles around the average which comes every month. I know bills become too much and it is depressing. Good you got less this time but hope it does not shoot the sky in the next bill. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I got the bill over for almost 30% on my normal bill,

Hi lynboobsy11,
It's happy to get an electricity bill of low amount than normal. I suggest you to bring the issue to the notice of the respective authorities. If you delay it till next month and in case if you receive a bill with high amount, then it creates a lot of mental tension to you and it impacts your and your households daily routines.
Today or the other day, you have to pay the bill. Sometimes it might be the clerical error while entering the data or so. If you inform the respective authorities about the low bill for this month they will surely respond positive and ensures this kind of error will not occur for you and even other customers. :-)

Hi KK,
The company we have here are despicable, they will just ignore me or that
can cause me into trouble for making an complain or clarification. Most
of the time people here just ignore and let it go.

I am sure that you will be very happy with your new bill because the amount you have to pay is very low. May be the current meter has some problems. I would ask you to complain about the meter only if gives you a big bill again

Where I live there.s a man from the company that comes to chack how much I have used in electricity and in water. If you are not home when they come, they put any numer and unless you call hte company within some time, you have to pay ythat. But then, the next month they substract the excess.

Maybe they had made an error but you could compare your current bill against your bill last month. Check the breakdown of every charges and compare these against last month's figures. By this process you will have an idea on the cause of this material discrepancy.

That was a great news. You've got an early bonus while it's not yet the christmas season. Probably, they are making up for a high bill the previous month. That would be something I want to experience - when my electric bill will be down to what you've paid. Anyway, as long as you're making money with your business, the amount will not matter much. For your success.

Hi friend, good to hear that your EB bill is very low for this month, i think the EB person did some mistake in the last month and compensated it in this month, whatever it was, you are now happy with your EB bill. Hope you don't get any increased amount in your next bill and my wishes for it

hhahha. that's for sure. it is confirmed that people just don't read the meter.just guessing. you should consider yourself lucky. i never had that bill amount in my life. it's always above two thousand pesos. just pay it then be surprised for next month.just prepare for the lower or higher bill.

Same as what happen in my bill. but then not that low, and I am also hoping that next month there were no big surprise in my electric bill again. I think the reader were not guessing on what amount and power consumption they record because they were armed with gadgets to signify the actual cost of our consumption on a monthly basis...
Hope next month the amount will be much much lower...

I also investigate that Jai, that night I was outside
the street and I was looking at my neighbors room and when
I saw that her light is on I shut down my fuse box to see who
is connected on mine, but there is no one .
The investigation was failed.

Though it hasn't been something that has ever happened when it comes to our electric bill, we've had the same thing to happen concerning our water bill. We had a super high bill one month and then the following month it was super low. When I called the water company to find out about this, they said that the reason that it happened was because of the fact that they had estimated our bill one month because they were not able to make an actual reading that month because of ice on the ground that made it impossible to get into our water meter.

oh,congratulation to you! :) I'm happy to you that you're bill in electricity went down. I would be hoping and would be happy as well if mine will decrease too. I sometimes don't know why electric bills are so high but it's being explained for the taxes, surcharges, etc. that they've mentioned in the bill. :(

I feel like they are spinning a wheel, and they randomly stop and choose that number to be my electric bill. I called them once asking what the heck was going on with the cost and they told me I could always go read my meter myself. Uh, yeah, because I SOOO know how to do that. Wouldn't matter. They would still go by what their employee said. It's not like they are going to take my word. Even if I knew how to read it.

It sounds like they got the estimate wrong. Every other month is an estimate, at least that's how ours is. It should be much closer to your real amount though!

your electric bill is only 4 dollars? i wish in my country it could be also. here electric bills are like 70 dollars and we are a poor country i just wish it was only 4 dollars so we could have a better life. im happy that in pinas its only 4 dollars. i know that life in pinas isnt easy also

There is something wrong with the reading of my meter that's why
it only cost $4 but the normal cost of my electric bill every month
is $20.00 and it depend on the appliances I have.

Perhaps it would be best that you go back to the electric company and have them explain why it went down to that amount. Because if it was to compensate for last month' very high bill, then it means to say that there was an error indeed in the reading or whatever.
In that regard, you must be given an assurance from them , that next time it will now be on the normal level of your billing.

You gonna get big surprise next month, I think it happened in my country too. The guy who usually come to check our bill record did not come every month, so how come he knew how big was my bill? he was guessing, so when he found out that he was wrong He adds deficiency previous month to the next month's bill. When we think that our electricity bill will remain small, we will get a shock with electricity bills almost double in the next month than usual
