Anyone like me have this kind of problem? I think I acquired my back pain when I started using the computer for at least 12 hours a day. I think it's a muscle pain. And maybe it is somewhat related to RIS or the Repeated Injury Syndrome which is most common to people who use the computer at long periods everyday. It is painful but tolerable. And sometimes it causes a bit of swelling. I suggest that people like me who use the computer at long periods should try having in between breaks of at least 30 minutes every two hours or so.

Like you I spend prolonged periods of time on my computer as my work demands it. Thankfully I got used to it and do not suffer from back pains. However I suggest that you invest in an ergonomic chair or at least buy a wedge. Try to sit with your back straight. You may wish to seek advice from a doctor or a chiropractor if the pain persists. Some pills may also help but make sure to seek advice from a professional..

Nowadays it is inevitable that we use the computer for longer periods as required. I already went to a doctor wants and told me that is only a muscular pain then he gave me some medicines but up to now it seems that the medicine she gave me is not that effective at all.

I experienced the same thing!
I have a back pain due to my work which require me to spend so much time behind computer. I always tell myself to take a break between hours but I always forget it. The back pain is still bearable but it sure annoying and I prefer if I can get rid of it D=
Yeah I suggest you to take a break between hours.

Hi ronyang,
It's very true that working on computer for longer hours have many health impacts. You have practically experienced it now. It's the right time for you to make few of the following changes.
1. First learn how to sit in front of the computer.
2. Check the position of the light against the computer
3. Invest some money to buy a computer table and a good push-back chair
4. Try to lessen the time spent on internet besides your studies or work
5. Last but not least, consult a doctor once and have a checkup. Take his / her suggestions.
I agree that, it's not possible to avoid working on computer fully, but identify the possibilities where you can actually optimize the usage of computer

It must be really because of too much sitting for 12 hours. Just take a break once in a while to stretch your muscles as well as let blood flow through your legs.
