In our neighborhood, one of my good neighbors launched a great event in their community where you can sell some of your old stuff. That's somewhat a fair and I called it; "yard sale fair" LOL. The next day; everyone on their own backyard has something to offer. It's like our neighborhood turned to be a mall/ shopping district. ^_^")
Bringing out your old stuff from the drawers and attic counts as money later on when someone gets interested on it then buys it. Oh the joy of getting rid of old stuff while you earn.
Share your thoughts about this, experiences, and also your highest earning (LOL, asi if it is like sharing ideas also how to make that dough by selling junk) and happy mylotting.

Yard sales dont seem to be that popular here in the Netherlands where I live, but it is relatively popular to attempt selling things online which you dont use anymore. - These people put for sale on similar sites like eBay. Reminds me I should maybe go through my things and see if there is things I could better just sell.

As yuletide season approaches, one good way for you to accept more gifts is to let go of those old items in your house collecting dusts and dirt in your area.
Selling. Sell, sell and sell... produce a lot of items to sell in your yard sale. Then go online for more boosts of profit. Thanks for giving me more idea and happy mylotting.

You are most welcome, and yes it could indeed be possible to find more things online to boost the profit, but when buying things online to add to the sale, you need to know what things you are buying and the potential selling value.

I think this is a great way to generate some side cash you can use for your daily expenses or even save for your future. In order to make money you have to be street wise, use common sense and you will be able to make plenty of money.

I certainly agree on you. Things like junk can worth a fortune to someone that's why they're willing to pay for it at a reasonable price.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it. Have you held a yard sale before?

I love yard sales, but they don't get done a lot here in Ireland. Especially where I live, since there's nobody really who lives in the area (I live in the countryside). I do have a lot of things I'd like to be able to sell to make some money while getting rid of them. I've done it before and it proved very useful for getting me some much needed cash. I think I made about 80 euro in one yard sale from selling old games consoles and a bicycle.

Wow, that's really nice. Keep on doing that as some may need your stuff in the future, too :)
Happy mylotting :D

Here in America yard sales are very popular and they are growing with this tough economy as people are trying to cut back on spending and the income made from the sales is tax free(since it is "off the books.") Every weekend there are dozens in my area as i guess people really need the funds and have some stuff they don't need. At times people find amazing steals and bargains. Some guys have made millions in art they purchased for $20 but the average person won't make any great deals but at least you get to purchase something affordable without going broke etc.
What about yourself?

That sounds like so much fun, a neighborhood full of yard sales! I'd certainly like that in my neighborhood. :) Sadly, I don't see that too often. There are flee markets and the like where I live, and sometimes randomly people sit outside and sell stuff, spread out over a sheet on the ground. I always enjoy walking past such little sales and see if there's anything nice to get, especially since it's usually also very cheap! :)

Flee markets weren't so popular unlike these days. This is due to flee markets weren't been so acceptable before and people would spend lavishly on new gadgets or not spend at all if one is on a tight budget.
Nowadays, we find everything in convenience. This is for everyone's benefit. They can get rid of junk while earning while some may get benefit of buying it from you in a cheaper price instead of going in malls to buy it.
Happy mylotting :)
