We have a bad weather since last week and a few more days this coming week.
Afternoon snacks for me is always sweet, cakes, ice cream. chocolates etc so I often skip snacks. Lately I can't resist my starving, the worst thing is I cook what I want so the volume is too much. Mostly banana chocolate cake plus caramel coffee milk shake. Sometimes french toast top with ice cream and some chocolate kisses plus mix berry shake. Mostly high in calorie but it really satisfies my day. I don't worry about my weight because I want to gain more. The problem is we have a hyper tension and diabetic history in the family.
I am so thankful for your suggestions to what I should eat instead of these desserts.

Hello Shaina, welcome! You surely mean sweets craving, don't you? Starving is when you are actually very hungry and craving is when you feel like eating something desperately even when you may not be hungry. Especially during rains, I feel like eating something tasty and savoury, that is a craving!

History of hypertension and diabetes? Tsk, tsk, tsk! You should really watch what you eat and all those sweets you mentioned...banana chocolate cake, caramel coffee milk shake, french toast top with ice cream are not at all healthy. You should stay away from them. What can you eat then? Fruits...go fruity all day and you will be safe. Drinking fresh fruit juice while eating bits and pieces of fruits will be very refreshing. I love drinking fresh raw mango juice or fresh lemon juice. In your case citrus or sour fruits will be very beneficial. Just add a little pure honey.

Thanks Salonga...Yes citrus fruits! My friend advice me to drink more on pineapple juice and tomato juice. But I don't like the taste of the tomato juice so I eat tomatoes instead haha!

All the food you ate are really delicious and high in calorie. It will surely help you to increase weight. But since your family has a medical condition which can also acquire later on in life, it would be better to ask for the doctor's advice for the correct diet for you. That way, you gain weight but eliminate getting sick. Keep safe!

Thanks for the care Jen. Lately since it's getting colder grapes and strawberry are getting sweeter too. I make it as an alternatives to my snacks.

Well, even though I am not a nutritionist, I firmly believe that you, eating sweets, having diabetic history in the family, is not a wise thing!
I understand that hunger when taking, take it! There is little to do! Maybe in your case you could substitute other foods, instead of desserts that are caloric bombs.
I for example (maybe I would almost say fortunately) I'm not very tasty pastries. However, I am slightly overweight.
Do not you believe it, even I fight my daily battle against hunger!
