I've tried a variety of survey sites and I'd say my biggest complaint with most of them is I sometimes spend up to 10-15 minutes on a survey for them to then tell me I didn't qualify for the survey. I think it should be decided after a few questions if you qualify or not. Here I thought I was in the middle or even getting close to done with the survey and I didn't even qualify. If you have good experiences with certain sites please share.

This happens a lot of times. They only come to know if you're qualified for the survey or not by asking a few questions beforehand. They cannot say if you're qualified for the survey or not just by looking at your profile. Sometimes you get invited for a survey even if your profile doesn't fully matches the requirement, so that you get an opportunity to take part and hopefully earn. Thus, a fine tuned sketch of you is created before the survey. For the last 4 months, since I tried surveys, I was always screened out. Like over 50 times. I left all hopes, until this month. I got to complete 2 surveys from GlobalTestMarket. I highly recommend this because many of my myLot friends have been paid by them. Thus, legit. Once you reach 1,000 points you receive a cheque of $50. Each survey is worth between 15-50 points. Sometimes higher. Surveys are very often too. You don't need to login to their site everyday. Each time there is a survey available for you, you receive an e-mail invitation for the same. The good thing is even if you don't qualify or get screened out, you're rewarded with 5 points each time, just for trying the survey. So your time spend is not a total waste. This is the only site with which I could finish a couple of surveys and looking forward to many more in the future. Try them out. Good day!

Hi there, I was taking a look at your website but I couldn't find a referral link to GlobalTestMarket. I'd be willing to give it a try and sign up under you if you'd like to PM your link. One of my biggest pet peeves with survey sites is just like everyone else on here, you spend so much time on a survey only to have them tell you that you don't qualify. I've always thought that if you at least attempt a survey you should get some sort of reward as a consolation prize and by your description it really sounds as if that site does that.

Msmonkeyfeet, apparently I can only send you an invitation to join GTM via e-mail. So accept my friend request that I've send you, so that I can get your e-mail and invite you as my referral eventually. Good day!

Sign up for Amazon Mechanical Turk. I have made $80 in the past 2 1/2 weeks doing mostly surveys on there.

I only started a couple days ago but so far I'm having some luck with Surveyhead. I'm already within $1.80 of cashing out, although I have more than that amount still pending from surveys that I've taken but they haven't yet cleared. I also like the fact that they give you a rough estimate as to how long the survey is going to take before you start taking it.

surveyhead didn't work for me at all!
It is just so frustrating,I agree,I mean time is important too and sometimes I feel it is just not worth it.
:( I have sites like those,so time consuming.

There are a few legitimate survey sites, however, most of them do not accept international people to join. In my opinion Surveyscout is the best site.

I have suffered similar frustrations by being 'screened out',as they call it.
I think you are at a distinct advantage if you fit a certain demographic to proceed with most of them- and a 44 year old male is definitely not it in my experience!
I will not touch most surveys because of discrimination and my time is better spent writing reviews-which is far more rewarding.
However, one survey site that I have steadily built up cash with is onepoll.com
I live in the UK so not sure if it's available in other countries, but it might be worth a look.

The ones that I use the most are mysurvey, yougov and valued opinions. The first one in particular regularly gives you surveys to complete.
