People watching

The other day I took a friend to some medical appointments and grocery shopping. I waited in my car for this person and just "people" watched. There were a lot of people to watch coming and going at this clinic. There were vans that were bringing individuals to the appointments and I was thinking back to when I was a van driver at a nursing and group home. Have you ever took the time to just "people" watch?

I find it really entertaining to people watch. You can see some funny things happen and many times you see embarrassing things happen to people when they think that nobody is paying attention. I work at a mall and when I stand at the front of my store I'm able to watch a lot of people. I've seen people arrested for shop lifting, funny children, and just some downright weirdos.
Sitting in a car waiting for someone is another good place to people watch. People watching is only entertaining when something funny happens though. Lol it can be a bit disappointing when people are normal and nothing funny or embarrassing happens to them

Very true, nothing funny happened this time people watching for me. It does make it more interesting when some thing funny happens or maybe it's not funny to them, but to the person who is watching it is funny! lol

This is actually one of the "insane" habits of me and my husband, people watching. Whenever we're out dining or just simply waiting for an appointment or something, we tend to pass time by watching people. Sometimes we even bet what the people would do next, smile or frown, and sometimes we "dub" whatever these people are saying. Of course we have to be careful not to be noticed lol!

I have just engaged in this pastime whilst recovering from open heart surgery. There is a park right close to my sister;s house in London and this is whereI exercise daily. This is also where I collapse on a park bench daily too. I love to watch the children playing and also love to see the different nationalities of people who are enjoying the park with me.

I used to people watch too when I was waiting for someone. Now I don't have the chance. If I am waiting I usually myLot. If I don't have internet service I write on a notepad so I can myLot it later. I am addicted and have alot of questions that needed answering.

I always do this whenever I am strolling in the mall or waiting for my bus in the bus stop. People watching is sometimes really entertaining. You can find different sorts of people and easily guess how they are related to their companion. There are lovers, mother and daughter, father and son, a family, an office worker rushing to get home, a bum, a nun, school children...it's fun to just observe and look at people come and go...tomorrow you will see another set of these.

Frequently, and many of the people I find myself watching are absolutely amazing. I often have a "What on earth were they thinking?!" moment. We were just at the grocery and it was interesting to spot at least one other person that was feeling like I was. . . blocked at every turn.

Reminds me of a gal I worked with, long ago and far away. She and her hubby liked going out to the airport to look for spies. Guess they look for terrorists now, if they still go out there.

My sisters and sister in law and I have special girly weekend. Alot of the time we go shopping like to the Mall Of America...my younger sister and I are not great shoppers so we get a diet coke and sit on a bench and people watch! It's so much fun. You see little kids doing some cool things...and so not so cool things....and I love seeing how people dress and interact! I bet some of them are watching us too!

I would often go to the malls during office hours, not necessarily shopping just strolling inside the mall. But sometimes, when I feel sad, I just sit down in a cafe and just look at the people passing by for hours until I am so tired of watching.

I've done this on a few occasions.
The ones I can remember are just the times when for example, same as you, someone had to be at an appointment or if I just did not feel like going in to some place then i would sit out and just watch the people go about their business.
I have never taken the time to specifically go out and people watch. I do not live in an area where I can do this. Its too small of an area so it would be pretty obvious and maybe a little creepy had I sat outside somewhere public to people watch.
I find it somewhat entertaining though at times.
