The UN International Day for the Preservation of Ozone Layer is celebrated around the globe on September 16 every year.
Ozone Layer is a layer in Earth's atmosphere. It absorbs 97-99% of the Sun's medium frequency ultraviolet light(Medium frequency ultraviolet light from about 200nm to 315nm wavelength is potentially harmful for our life). In other words we can say that ozone layer is a natural filter around the earth that block harmful rays from the sun to the earth.
World has become a global village. More and more new advancements are carried out in different fields. But with the advancement of technology and increasing modern industry, the exhaust of gases in the atmosphere is also increased.
These gases are causing damage to the ozone layer. Now a days, we listen to global warming. The average temperature around the world are increased. The scientific has discovered that global warming is only due to the depletion of ozone layer.
Scientist should introduce inventions that are Eco-friendly. And measures should be taken to avoid further depletion of ozone layer. Because life can not sustain on earth without this ozone layer.
