I am participating in comment exchange right now. It's like a blog hop but you need to leave a comment in all the blog sites listed. Of course, you should leave a nice comment with a correct grammar and spelling. But I wonder why I can't do it always right. It happens almost all the time that after publishing my comment it turns out I have a wrong tense or spelling. Maybe one reason is I am procrastinating and wanted to finish typing as fast as I could because of time. Haha. But there are just times that I thought I write it right but then when it was published it turns out having errors. Did that always happens to you?

Oh yes, all the time. it's good if the blog has a delete button then I can retract my comment and post a new and spell-checked one but some dont and I get embarrassed. but then i just think that the people who will read my comment dont know me and if someone who really knows me would read it, they would know that i just made a mistake.

I was having a conversation today about grammer, and someone made a very good point about how we truly believe something to be grammatically correct even when it's not. She was saying sometimes when we are taught or continuously practice something incorrectly, we eventually believe it to be true. That is why sometimes "correct English" sounds funny to us, and "slang" sounds correct.

Yes that happens to me often especially when I hurry. For some reason even when proofreading we don't always see all errors.. I know this because I wrote two (smallish) books and proofread a number of times and each time could find an error! Of course some of the errors were from changing something to read better and leaving a word in or out.. I can always spot these when I see them in a book I'm reading!

Lade, it is always better to review what you had written to minimize your mistake. Before when i never review my posting, i tends to get quite a few errors. Now, i try to take some time to review my posting before do any posting. At least, i won't feel regret that i have make another error again. It had been quite long i didn't participate in any blog hop program. Sounds very interesting, hope you can share more in here.....

I have participating with the comment exchange every week for more than 4 months now. I am enjoying reading and posting comments but because we have cut off and I have full time work, I tend to cram. Anyway, I try to avoid it by little by little do the commenting and start earlier. Do you have a blog too?

Hi shylade! I always experience the same thing whenever I am in a hurry. I have my permanent job and I can work during break time. Sometimes, I thought I had written the sentence correctly only to find out after posting that it has some mistakes particularly on spelling and grammar. Well, anyway, sometimes we just have to accept the fact that we are being careless at times.

It always happens to me too, but I guess that can't be helped, because sometimes we're full of these emotions that we tend to be hyped up on typing what's in my mind, immediately hitting the 'post' button' without re-reading what have written. And I guess it's pretty alright too, not everyone's is good in English or other foreign language anyways, and I think many would understand. ^^

You are not reading it well, or maybe you can't see the mistake due to over confidence that what you wrote is correct and even the mistake is in front of the eyes, you can't see it. So check it correctly and don't rush to submit. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
