Does the approach of X'mas worry you?

In our country, September is considered the start of the early celebration of Christmas because it is the beginning of "ber" months which end in December. We anticipate X'mas like everyone else, but with the economic crisis hitting everyone, we can't help it but feel anxious about the future or the upcoming X'mas. How about you? Are you also worried about the approach of X'mas? Share you opinions.

Believe it or not but some people (including myself) are very excited for the Christmas season. This will be my daughters first Christmas and I couldnt be more happy. Yes, there are alot of struggles going on but that wont change the feeling you get when you see the decorations and the busy streets. Even though I have no money to buy gift for the holidays, I still find enjoyment being close with my family. From the snow to the mall santas, you will still feel that warmth Christmas spirit. Its my favorite holiday!

I have mixed feelings about Christmas. Not necessarily connected to the economy, but on one hand I love it, I love winter, snow, wearing thick jumpers and coats, but once Christmas Day is over I find it depressing, especially New Year.

It does not worry me in the slightest. Christmas is an enjoyable time of the year and something that I always look forward to, although for me it is not something that I even think about before December itself.
I know that all the stores play Christmas songs in November, and people start Christmas shopping around the same time prompted by the television adverts and so forth, but it seems very early in my opinion.
Once the calendar changes to December I will plan for the occasion, which means stocking up the freezer, sorting out presents and cards etcetera. I will even add a Christmas signature to my emails and change my avatar her to suit the season, but for now it is of no interest to me at all.

yes it does actually just because we don't have a lot of money to buy presents. it means i will have to be pretty creative in making items for gifts. i have a few ideas and have started making them. i am also thinking of making some food gifts this year too. that will help ease the burden of buying 'stuff'.

To a certain extent, I have to say that I'm really worried about Christmas this year because of the fact that this year has been the toughest year that we've had to date. However, I'm not as concerned about Christmas as I could be because of the fact that I've been able to kick up the work that I've been doing online so that is going to help me tremendously in paying for Christmas this year. I've already ordered several gifts from Amazon using my gift cards and I'm also trying to make at least $100 that I will be able to spend on Black Friday to get clothes and such for my children.
I'm also planning on opening up a lay-away this week with the two bigger things that I want to get for each of my children.

Before, when finances were so great, Christmas bothers me a bit because even if money was excessive, friends were plenty as well. Giving the right gifts to the right people is very time consuming since you always think of giving them the perfect gift.
Now that money has been depleted for years and currently, fixing the damage that happened, Christmas is now a breeze since I don't need to buy anything for the reason that all my friends know my current situation and they understand perfectly well. I just wish them a Merry Christmas and do everything that I can to improve my financial situation so I can have a better Christmas next year.

Oooohh, I love Christmas! And not really because of the gifts and the parties but the very season just really bring good tidings and joy. :) The air just smells different, the weather feels soothing and comforting and of course, it is usually the time where most families and friends come together to celebrate. Just enjoy yourself and try to think of the good things during Christmas, and you might just find that the economic crisis is not really something you have to worry about.
