I'm Such A Fool!

You probably wonder why I feel like a fool. Ok, I will tell you the story. Things that I will tell you happened before some months. I yawned and looked up from my books. It was already 00.30 am on my bedside clock, but I still had a huge amount of work to do. "I'm so stupid." I thought miserably. Why do I always leave things until the last minute?" All my friends had started revising weeks ago-why hadn't I done the same thing? I should have spent less time playing basketball, but it was too late for regrets. I was paying the price-I'd have to work all night. To make matters worse, I hadn't done well in my last history test. I knew that I had to do a lot better to pass the final exam. "Don't panic." I told myself, "just concentrate." One o'clock in the morning, and I started nineteenth century history. "What's the point of learning this?" I thought irritably. "When am I ever going to use it?" I stood up and stretched, but I had to carry on. "If I had a bit more time, I'd be OK." I thought. "If only..." It was two o'clock when I decided to take a break. I sent a text message to a friend, then waited a few moments. There was no reply. "So it's just me and my history book." I thought. "Nobody knows I'm still studying." At 4.45 am, it was becoming more and more difficult to stay awake. I wanted to sleep more than anything else in the world, but there were still eighty pages to go. At 8 am I finally closed my book. I hadn't slept all night, and I felt exhausted. There was no time to finish the final unit, but I'd certainly done my best. "Better late than never." I thought to myself, as I left for school. Forty-five minutes later I walked into my classroom, but no-one was there. As I looked around the room, I saw my classmate, Ali, in the corridor. "Hey Ali," I called after him. "Kimya...? What are you doing?" said Ali, looking surprised. "You are going to be late for the Maths exam! Come on!" "Maths exam? But it's history today, isn't it...?" It wasn't... Yes, I'm really a fool. I failed the Maths exam, I failed the History exam which was the next day. Because I forgot everything which I studied on that sleepless night. But I got a lesson from life. Now I'm more organized and I do everything with a plan! So do you have a story like this? Or am I the only one? =)

I have made that kind of mistake as well. I wrote the wrong date in my calendar and I didn't show up for my exam. I thought that I was going to have a relaxing day in my home and I didn't get up early. Suddenly I woke up because my phone rang and it was my teacher and he said to me: "Where are you? There is an oral exam today and we have been waiting for you" I got a shock. I thought that the exam was going to take place 3 days later. I got dressed in a hurry and went to the school. My teacher said that they would squeeze me in during one of the breaks and they did. I passed the exam, but I didn't get a good grade because I wasn't ready for the exam. Like you I learned something from the experience, and today I always double check the dates of the exams so that I don't end up in the same kind of situation again.

you can only get better from this experience. now you know better and well. it happened to me once, but not during exams. i forgot that it was a special holiday. i went to the university, and found myself with other students who also forgot or did not hear the news. so we ended up spending time together walking around the city. what a nice way to end the day.
