Is it the end or a new beginning?

Most people today probably feel that the world is in a mess, many think that something big is about to happen, and some are saying that we are approaching the end. But suppose the change that is coming is not the end at all, but rather a beginning! Has anyone considered that the world might be going though a clean up? Like with any big clean up, it would look difficult, in fact almost impossible, at the beginning and of course, it would take time to accomplish, to rid the world of all negativity that we have created. It is likely too, that things would have to get worse before they got better, but do you think that the final outcome might be good for everyone?

Thats a new and totally different approach to things compared to what I hear most of the time. I am not sure about where these things going on lead to, and I think neither me nor you can change where things are heading for.
But its a nice thought that the outcome could be good for everyone. There are too many doom and gloom self appointed last days preachers around. I dont trust them as Jesus said even he doesnt know when the end of the world will be due but only the Father in heaven knows. So who are we to sound fanfares of here are the end times.

Hi RitterSport, Thank you for taking the time to think this through. I can see that you are a Christian, while I have gotten away from the church in recent years and no longer believe many of it's teachings. I know the Bible though and have been reading it for sixty years. Of course there are many different interpretations, as can be seen by the fact that there are some forty thousand denominations lol! Of course those dooms day preachers don't know and your right Jesus said that even he did not know. Blessings.

Dear Pose, I am a Roman Catholic who went far far from that church in her younger years to become a Baptist. I thought, with then 25 years old, I have made the right decision and it sure was appropriate for that time in my life, but later I felt led back to the Catholic Church and in 2002, so thats 10 years ago, I was reconciled with the Church.
I was very happy that day and have stayed as happy in these 10 years. The boat is rocked quite a bit now with all the bad things going on but I am still very grateful that I was accepted back into the church and its such a blessing to be back.
Blessings to you too.

No matter what happens, we must look on the bright side.Over here most people know the saying"The road is tortuous, but the prospects are bright."

I feel in order for the world to be cleansed a new beginning would mean exactly that, like when the dinosaurs were wiped off the Earth? When mankind started, now mankind will end? I guess there are a lot of theories and predictions, the Mayans believe that the world will come to an end 21st December 2012? Maybe humans will ascend to a greater place? Dependent on your religion is how you view this Earth will not if come to a climax. To rid the world of all negativity would be to rid the world of mankind, negativity and positivity go hand in hand, we cannot have one without the other, to be negative is to be human. I could never picture a world without negativity to me that would be Utopian, Heaven if that exists.

Hi wolfie, You make a very good point. Some scientists believe that civilization may have been destroyed several times since man first appeared upon the earth - Atlantis might be a good example - it is thought by many that their civilization may have surpassed ours in many ways. Maybe it's possible that we are birthing a new humanity - a higher version of humans, who will see things from a viewpoint much different from the way we think today. The only other opinion would seem to be that we will destroy civilization as we know it, and take millions more years to get back to where we are now. Thanks for your response. Blessings.

Many believe in an Infinite Universe,(without limit, beginning, end, or final outcome)so the world cannot be approaching an end,a new beginning,or a final outcome. From the discovery of fire, to the advent of the electricity, life on earth has become better, and much easier. Would ridding the world of our negativity cancel our positivity? Is hot better than cold, up better than down? What do you say we just enjoy the ride this time around, and return later to do it all again?

Hi Pose! Nice to see you again!
I do not think the world is coming to an end soon. Some people are saying the end time is coming because of all the "new natural disasters" and things that have really been happening since the beginning of time. The only reason we see and hear of these things now is because of the technology we have in this era.
It would certainly be nice if people would stop being so negative towards not only others but towards themselves as well, but I do not see this happening in the near future. The problem with mankind ~ my opinion ~ is power and greed. Most every religion, path or even organization starts with good intentions and is at the start very simple to abide by but then some person with charisma will seem to come by and decide it is up to him to "EXPLAIN" to others what to do and how to interpret the ideas originally stated. BINGO! Another lost cause.

Hi rich, You are certainly a very practical thinker and I agree that the world is not going to end, but civilization as we know it could. How are we going to overcome power and greed? You are right about religion too, and most people have been brainwashed to the extent that change would seem impossible. Sadly, it seems that we have reached a place where the only alternative is change or perish. I wonder how many times has humanity reached this point, only to be thrown back into almost complete extinction? It is possible however, if we have the time, and enough people get involved, that we could get it right this time. Can we birth a new humanity? Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Blessings.

i don't think the world is going to finish, i think we had a quick process of evolution in like 10 years with internet, social networks, medias, and maybe we weren't so prepared like this new generation, who can use all tecnologies products without problems. Things will go better, if we have all we need for a clean enviroment like solar energy, solar cars etc, i see tecnology is everywhere now, a new era is coming, we should only be more positive, this crisis will finish, things will get better someday :)

with God nothing is impossible. Just like in the days of Noah, indeed God will make a major clean up of this wickedness and violence that robs peoples joy and peace of mind.Faith and trust that God will intervene soon to end all the madness around us will help a lot to be positive about our world.
