i have worked as a intern in an government bureau for alomost 3 weeks, at first i think this job is definitely the ideal job for me, not so much tasks, no pressur, you can spend 80% of your working hour on chating with your colleagues. however , doing one job for a whole life time, i cann't bear it, and just 3weeks ,i am thinking about i will never apply for this job. so , are you considering resigning the present job and find another one at this moment, and have you ever had the desire to quit your job

What made you not like your new job anymore cylia? Is it the boring job, or you are used to being busy all day? Government jobs can really be boring, specially when your job doesn't require your full attention. It is indeed boring to be always chatting with co-employees. ANd you don't feel any productiveness at all.

Your young age is an indicator that you want a challenging job, cylia. Not a simple job, that won't make use of your creativity to the max. So, while you are young, try applying to jobs that you are most interested with. But don't resign from your present boring job yet, until you are sure that you will be hired already by another firm. Good luck my friend!

It was actually not about my job but my relationship with my ex-boss. He was really a problem for all of us in the department. When issues come in, instead of consulting us what happened or just simply investigating to hear both sides, he will push us to be at fault and report you to Human Resources. Of course HRD will issue a memo because of the report, and even almost issued me a suspension. Even if you have justified everything (with all the supporting emails, documents and all), he will still not reverse your record with HRD. All our 201 files were already stained. Some of my colleagues even resigned because of him. I have already been working for 10 years but it was my first time to have a bad record in my 201. He only has been with our department for 5 years. I was really upset that time that I even declared cold war between us. I only communicate with him when needed. And i was thinking of resigning because our working relationship is not healthy anymore. But when I knew that he will be transferred to our Corporate office, I was so happy. He is now with our Corporate office and in no way has connection with us. Our new boss is okay. I hope he will not turn into something else in the future. I love my job and I can't afford to lose it.

yes, I was really emotionally stressed during that time because I cannot understand why is he doing it. I already have explained everything with all the supports, email communications showing that I have done my share but the supplier was the one who failed. But still, he reported me to Human Resources. I was really pissed off. When I heard about the news that he's transferring, my heart went like jumping with so much excitement because I'm never going to deal with him anymore. I also heard he doesn't have any close colleague in our Miami corporate office now. But I am not surprised because he doesn't have one here either.

your ex-boss is undoutablely a bad leader, work with this kind of boss ,how could you stand it, you are so lucky that he has left there and there is no need for you to seek another job. relationship with colleagues also play an vital role in one's life, if you working in a really bad social envitonment , it'll be very tired.

Sometimes, if there are pressures in my job I would think or resigning. But as I think deeper and consider how hard it is to find good time these days I would change my mind. Pressures in job can be disappointing but come to think of it, is there a job that won't give you any pressure? So for as long as my job is paying me well then I just have to bear the pressures. Quitting is the last thing I would consider.

I agree with salonga. Consider all the factors before you actually quit. If you think you can still live without it or could have a better opportunity, why not? However, if you quit, you will be undergoing the whole process again and back to square one. Just think about it and weigh the matters. If this job is really not for you, don;t suffer because of it.

yes, it;s the main concern when we want to change our job,we all know it's not so easy to find a good job nowadays, so,before we quit our jobs we always find a another one in advance,as a result, most people stay in a caree they don't like at all.

I used to work as a nursing assistant seven years ago. I really enjoyed this job for a long time, however I did end up being involved in an accident at work and when that happened, I was placed on restricted duty at work. When this happened I was not able to work with patients anymore and I instead ended up having to spend my entire day doing tedious busy work. When this did happen, I decided that the job that I was doing was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was at that point that I started looking for a new job. I did not resign from the job that I was working at the time until I had secured a new job.

yes,it's safer to find another job first, to be honest i don't know if it's good for you that knowing you are not suit to this job, after you find this, you will be not so content with your present job.as long as you find another one, this attitude cannot disappear.

As for me,your job is amazing, even it is my dream, now my job are:low pay, high pressure, over work.So would you like to exchange your job with me? I think if your pay is OK then do not quit your present job,but if you really want to have a challenge job and make you life more full, then you can quit.

Yes I have had jobs I've thought about leaving and some I have left to go to a better job. If this is a paid intern I suggest staying until you find something else.

The desire to quit is far fetched as of this moment. I give value to my job right now, It is my main job that it can give all that I need. I'm currently finding ways on how to augment my monthly income though. Trying to secure some loans for me to put up a small business. Hope this goes well late this year or next year. Good luck on our career. Thanks

Well, in my case i had some previous jobs that i resign for some personal reasons... And i don't know whether that job fits the degree that i had graduated so, i quit on that job. and then finds another one that would somehow fits my interests. It really is up to you. if you don't find any spark on that job, well you might consider a challenging one that would fit in your specifics.
