If I offend you

If I would say something to offend you, I would hope some one would tell me. Some times my mouth over rides my brain and I might say something or some one could take what I said out of context and be mad at me. I would hope some one tells me if I offended some one. I guess maybe working with mentally challenged individuals has taught me to be more sensitive of other's feelings. I've seen how mean and rude people can be and I know, personally how one's feelings can be hurt easily.

I think that in general we all avoid being rude. And if we are, it is usually because we mean it. I don´t think we go through life offending people, so don´t you worry, dear. But I understand that some people are more fragile and there you have to be more careful. I won´t twll you if you offended me

If I do I hope some one will tell me, because I don't want a misunderstanding to break up a friendship. Or the person might have misinterpreted what I was trying to say and if a person will be honest enough to confront me and tell me so I can understand what I may have done/said wrong. So, I hope I don't offend any one, because it's not intentional.

Misunderstandings are a problem. I agree. And I always try to make myself as clear as I can. Many times it has nothing to do with feeling that you have been rude though. I feel more hurt when I think that someone I love does not care enough to listen to me when I´m depressed. Sometimes, a hug is far better than words.

I try not to be mean to people also , and whenever I think someone is being rude I would ignore them . If they happen to do it more than once ill let the person know that I dont appreciate it . Some people will try to hurt others feeling because they or on the net and most of the time they are not happy .

I would say if you offended me. I have a friend who says she has no filter...things just fall out of her mouth. I have suggested different things for her to try like clamping her mouth shut and counting to ten...but she still blurts out whatever is on her mind...hurting people....then she is hurt in return as she can't figure out why she said them.

Sometimes we aren't aware that we are already offending someone. There are times that we just say what we want to say then suddenly we realize that the person might get offended. Well-chosen words are the best. That's why we have to each person we are dealing with. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I'm the same way. I don't want to hurt anyone. I'm usually pretty direct, but I try to use some modicum of tact with what I say. I don't flame anyone. If you ask me what I think I will tell you but I will also try to be honest without sounding mean. At least I hope I do. I sure try to.

It would be great if they did, but sadly people rarely tell you if you offend them. They simply gravitate away from you then ignore you altogether.
Trouble is they forget that everyone makes mistakes. Mostly it is a case of talking without engaging brain. Mostly we think things through before saying anything but there are times we would be better shutting up and saying nothing.

I somehow can relate to what you're saying, and if words could really kill, then I could have been a mass murderer, lol! Seriously, I have always stick to "what you don't what others do unto you, then do it" and surely I have always tried and try not to offend anyone.

Mind over matter. Same here, I'm not the same person I was before. I say what I want, when I want, and how I want. At the end of the day its mind over matter. I don't mind and they don't maatter.
