Arsenal start good in champions league season 2012/2013...They visit Montpeiller home and win 2-1 against the home..
Montpeiller lead the first with goal of Belhanda from penalty..The referee appoint penalty because of foul of Vermaelen against Belhanda..
But the goal of Podolski minute 16 and Gervinho minute 18 ended the fighting of Montpeiller squad..
Montpeiller dominate the game with 51 percent..But Arsenal play efficient
Arsenal and Schalke get the same points 3..Montpeiller and Olympiakos have no points..
It seems that Arsenal and Schalke are more favourite in this game..
Share your opinion about Arsenal performance in this champions league...
The new player, Giroud is still scoreless..but his assist to Podolski make easier Podolski scores goal..
With this winning, Arsenal keep their good record against French club..They never lost from French club

Arsenal's season is beginning to look a bit more positive as time goes on. After the lows the fans felt with the departures of Van Persie and Song, the recent performances have given some relief to the fans. For the first time this season, Arsenal went down a goal with a tight penalty given against Vermalean which Belhanda cooly converted. Arsenal immediately hit back through Podolski, who looks impressive with every game and looks like a great replacement for Van Persie. A few minutes later Gervinho who suddenly seems to have found his scoring touch again scored to give Arsenal a 2-1 lead. Of course, in the second half Arsenal was completely on the defense with Montpellier on the attack all the time. I think this was a good practice for Arsenal that they were still able to defend the lead.
Cheers!

I think the key to their finishing is how soon can Giroud now start scoring. All the other Arsenal forwards have made their mark, only Giroud has been short so far. I think once he starts banging in the goals, this could be a real good season for Arsenal. The real test starts this weekend when they take on Man City.
Cheers!

Many have picked on Giroud due to the fact that he had failed to score after five competitive games. What they failed to see is the contribution that he made for his team-mates. Give him more time, he will come good. As for the group, yes, Arsenal and Schalke have the slight edge now. But all it takes is to lost their next game and matters are level.
