Hello Lotters, I didn't know the former Military Officer who conducted a COUP a few years back wants negotiate with CHINA? unlikely of Mr.Trillanes. He was informed by Ochoa that things are going inflamatory in the hands of the foreign secretary. the diplomat envoy denies the accusation saying merely speculation. but i didn't understand why Trillanes? and not other people in the Senate. His job is to create a bill and pass laws and not intervene with China's dispute with our country.if trillanes ask to intervene? what is he gonna gain for it? Do you think it would be better off Trillanes handling diplomacy with CHINA? What is your point of view here?

Trillanes should not go. Considering his history of causing unnecessary collateral damage and his volatile nature, he'll only make the situation worse. He had better stand down.

Hello fuhuangwei, I don't what went wrong there because the Camarines, Sur issue is out of the line when the main problem is the disputed territories. but some how it has gone way too far for both of them. the people should realize that these quarrels is not the worth of tax you pay for

Yeah seems mysterious indeed that Sen. Trillanes that was sent to negotiate for our country. I thought it was DFA(Dep of Foreign Affairs) who is supposed to handle such situations. That is why Sen. Trillanes and Sen. Enrile seemed to be at odds because of this issue. On the other hand Sen. Trillanes also accused the Senator of hurrying the bill for the division of the Province of Cam Sur. Because he said that Sen. Enrile was accused of meeting the Congresswoman Arroyo and asked him to rush the approval of the bill.

Hello Rsa101, well, it's all politics to me. though at first I believe trillanes has good intentions because he rarely intervene on diplomatic issues, but he has experience in the military and he probably know that negotiation and diplomacy is more applicable than aggressive statements, which he believed rosario was doing. another thought maybe because he's doing this for a future hold on political gain

Yeah I guess there is an ongoing preparation from politicians running in the 2013 election and they would willingly do everything on their hand to put their names visible to the public. They would even resort to putting some reputation down just to put their names on top of the survey.

That is also the great question on my mind. I never knew that he had diplomacy skills at all. I know him from organizing an event that will need a very skillful negotiator though. And if he was included in the said delegation, what exactly did he do? Push paper? I think I read somewhere that senator can be used as negotiators but he's in the military, not a diplomatic career. His former profession reeks of aggression and not of long-winded negotiations. (sorry but that was my reading). I don't know but if were to see a demo of his negotiating skills or a product of his efforts,I might be inclined in his favor. So far, nothing.

Hello Jeanne, I didn't think he would have diplomacy skills on it and they bypass enrile about this. I am not saying that Del Rosario is old and grumpy but maybe he never should have even volunteered in the first place. maybe Enrile should have handled this situation by himself.right now, they either should solve the problem or blame each other

No offense but you do sense. I think we had a number of talented diplomats. We don't need a senator to do that. If we allow Senator Trillianes to do what he wishes, then he would be ignoring his legislative work(if he as any). Also, China might be suspicious as he did have a coup and came from the military. I do respect the military but what we need now is diplomacy. I tihnk we should held talks with China and give them every indication that we are not resorting to force without a good reason. My idea seems farfetched but we don't know how the Chinese will view if this came into fruition. I hope that I am wrong that the senator just wants to have attention for the coming elections.

Hello jeanneyvonne, From what I recall, China only wants us to be partners on those Islands and not include others, which cost tension to rise a bit. I doubt China would care what we think as long as they think it's more favorable to them. well, I want to judge the senator when i see the results of these secret negotiations w/ china

Hi LetranKnight25. Sen. Trillanes not only wants to intervene in China - Philippines disputes, He had been "authorized" to hold back-channel talks with Chinese officials according to GMA News. "Word war" erupted between Sec. Del Rosario and the Senator, both pointing an accusing finger at each other. Sen. Enrile is also at odd with Trillanes for not reporting to him. Reading between the line, this is another under the table negotiations being done by this administration. Remember the secret meeting of the President with the MILF abroad? Cheers!

Hello Romzee, So the fault really comes from the President who authorized trillanes to go in secret while it's considered slap in the face for Del Rosario. I wonder, why would Enrile entitled himself to such information when it was supposed to be secret document? politics never end.
