Hy mylotters!! I am just happy to share that are company asked us yesterday to sign a new contract for the increase in our salary. The amount is not so big but good enough than nothing. It is actually just 1,000 philipine peso or 23 dollars if converted. After waiting for so long, the moment has come. Maybe I have to wait for another five years for the next increase, if I am still with the company.
What about you? When did you experience the last increase in salary? Are you satisfied with it or sad? share your experience.
happy mylotting!!

Congrats mate! Yeah, to tell you am just recently directly hired from this company, I was used to be at the agency, but it is obvious that you have a bigger salary than me. Just the minimum pay out here at Davao... I am working here for more than 2 years already, I guess I am already contented for the time being, since I know it's hard to apply for another job, and the work time here is manageable, I can have some sidelines if I wish too... Thanks for sharing this!

Its good that you decided to transfer from agency to direct hire. As far as i know, agency get a percentage on your salary monthly. I'm happy to hear that you are happy with your salary. My salary is not that big, and I have a lot responsibilities. Aside from my work, i have a mini store here in the office. Actually, it is not allowed, i just tried to hide it from the guard to have additional income.

Patience is always a virtue. at least now you are a regular employee and directly hired, it is better rather than you are being hired ny the agency, as i mentioned they get a specific percenatage on your salary. that is already an agreement between the agency and your employer.

in the government service, employees receive an increase in salary regularly, every three years. this is called, steps increment. but this increment or raise in monthly salary is very small amount. you cannot imagine it is being called increase as it is barely noticed in the payslip.
well, congratulations for the new contract buddy.

you get a lot of benefits when you work in the government. it is already package: salary, health benefits, insurance, a lot unlike us in a private sector, there were only few mentioned benefits. in our company they just decided to give us an increase because a lot of employees are already resigning.

It has been quite a while since the last time that my husband got a raise at work. This is due in no small part to the fact that the economy has been struggling so much over the past several years. You see, my husband is a machinist and the sluggish economy has really had an adverse effect on the company that he works for. There have been several employees that have been laid off during the recession. I believe that the last time that he got a raise was back in 2007 and it was an increase of one dollar per hour.

Sad to hear about that. each country's economy is really ups and down this time.a lot of employees were also laid off in our country because of the recession. there was a joke in our company that we have to wait for another five years or more for another increase.

Wow! Congratulations rberon! Having an increas in our salary would be a big thing especially now that the prices of commodities are soaring up.
Well, on our part, we received the last tranche of salary increase last June. It started last four years ago and we got our increase continuously for the last 4 years because the government cannot give it to us all at once.
It is also a big help for me since I have two students. I am really thankful because I was able to get my present job. Have nice day!

congratulations too on your increase. nowadays very few employers are increasing the salary of their employees. actually in our company, the salary is freeze. its just so happen that there are lots of resigned employees. they were alarmed on that and increasing the basic salary of the employees is the only way so they will not loose them but still my co-employees are not satisfied with it especially those who are four years and more in the company. they are expecting a higher pay from the management. others will just get their 13th month pay and will render resignation.

Congratulations to your increase. How i wish that our increase is also based on the performance. I might get a good amount. The increase in our company is equal regardless that you are performer or not. Increase were given to those employees that has been in the company one year and half and more. Employees that are more than four years in the company are upset because they get the same amount with the others. They felt that the mangement is unfair. they insisted that they should be getting a big amount because of their tenureship.
