Hello everyone! I recently started working out again. I have been watching what I eat and eating smaller portions. I also switched to diet soda. In the passed I've not been able to stand the taste of diet soda. However, this time I am doing better with it and have actually enjoyed the taste. I have also been exercising and walking on my treadmill. I have been doing at least 20 minutes a day on it. Some days if I have time and feel like it I will do more than 20 minutes. The other day I did 40 min of brisk walking and jogging. I am feeling better since I've been working out. I could definitely stand to lose a few pounds as well. Has anyone else recently started exercising, exercise regularly? Any tips on staying on track and eating healthier? Thanks!!

I also wanted to be involved on doing rigorous exercises, not necessarily wanting to lose weight but I wanted to have a healthy disposition in life. Unfortunately I fail in doing that and my only means of exercise are doing household chores.

I know what you mean girl. For the last 10 years or so I have worked out and gotten healthy several different times. I have a hard time staying motivated. My sister in law just moved here from about 400 miles away though. So her and I have either been getting together and exercising or talking to each other at the end of the day and checking in with 1 another to see if we both did our exercises. Do you have anyone you could buddy up with like that? I, too am doing it for health reasons. Although I could stand to lose some weight myself. I have an 11 year old son. Before I got pregnant with him I had always been very thin. I guess after I had him my metabolism changed though because I've been heavier and had a hard time losing weight since I had him. He does keep me busy though I will say that lol.

Yeah, I think it is a lot easier if you have an exercise buddy with you so that you check on one another's progress.

Congrats on working out and eating healthier! Walking is great, it helped me lose weight. I would advise lots of fruits, veggies, chicken and fish for protein and drink lots of water. Letting go of the diet soda would be a good step too.

Thanks! Congrats on your weight loss, too!! I just finished walking a mile with my sister in law. It is a nice cool morning here where I'm at. It feels good to exercise. I always feel better. I have been incorporating more water. I have also been stepping off the diet soda as well. I have been drinking some unsweet tea with a couple of pkgs of Splenda in it though. Hope you have a great day!! Thank you!!
