I generally use non-rechargeable batteries because they are very inexpensive compared to rechargeable batteries. Although I have heard that rechargeable batteries are more cost effective with it being able to be charged again and again, I do not use batteries that often. I am also somewhat worried about rechargeable batteries with leaking of chemicals that can be more active due to its rechargeability. Is your general preference towards non-rechargeable or rechargeable batteries?

Rechargeable batteries can be cheaper only if lasts long enough. Thus, you need to get a reputed battery which will make initial investments high. I generally use non-rechargeable batteries for most of my gadgets, especially remote controls. But with some gadgets, like my digital camera, I got a company made rechargeable battery and it was recommended for the camera. Thus, I use it for my camera only. I do get concerned about leakage sometimes. But I know that I have a quality product. Thus, I need not worry. While choosing a rechargeable battery the quality and brand of the product makes the difference. It can either save money and keep your gadgets in top condition or you need to replace them after sometime and damage your gadget through leakage. So choose wisely, live well. Good day!

Yes, I also prefer quality, which is why I try to find brand name batteries that are still fairly inexpensive. I cannot go back with using cheap brands; they either had a low battery life or leaked after using them for a certain period. Thanks for your comment, MIMO_Rulz_111.

Yes, for electronics that have the option between non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries, I usually use non-rechargeable batteries. For example, I use non-rechargeable batteries for my alarm clock, CD player, and TV remote. Thanks for your comment, riyauro. Hope you have a nice day too.

I do use both type of batteries . The non rechargeable type for the clock and remote control. The rechargeable type for the camera and mobile.

Yes, with cameras and mobile phones, I usually do not have a choice; although I prefer non-rechargeable batteries, it's usually the rechargeable type of batteries used for those kind of electronics. Anyway, I usually replace my mobile phone and camera every few years. During that time I used them, the batteries did not die. Thanks for your comment, rajesh_111.

I use rechargeable as my primary power source and 'primary' or disposable batteries as back up. You have to consider the possibility that you are unable to recharge your batteries so primary batts are your best bet. Rechargeable are cost effective as you are able to use them over and over and over again. Just make sure not to damage them.
