Gift Cards

If you ever get a gift card to an establishment that you do not like to shop, then you should put it up for auction. Go to www.ebay.com or any other auction site, and put it up for auction, so you can get some cash for it. It's a gift, so you don't lose out really. Or find a website like www.freecycle.org, and exchange it with someone for something that you really like. Take care and happy shopping!

I have a friend from another town. He gave me a gift card to a shop from his town. At that time I was busy and I didn't plan on visiting his town in the near future so I thought that I would use the gift card one day when I visited his town. One month later or something like that he called me and told me that the shop was about to close and he encouraged me to use the gift card as soon as possible. I visited his town and the shop, but I didn't really like the shop and I couldn't find anything that I wanted to buy. My friend offered to buy the gift card from me and give me the money instead.

If I give a gift card I always get the VISA or MASTERCARD gift cards so they can go anywhere. The only time I bought a gift card for a particular store is when I knew that's where they shopped. It's so hard to find something in a store you don't even go to. Glad you found something though.

I get this all the time, since a lot of people dont know what to get me. I usually resell it online either on Mom Buy and Swap Groups online, Kijiji, or eBay.

I think this is worse than your worst, lol! I got a gift card from a brand of perfumes...for men! I mean, come on! I was given a gift card so I can buy something that I can gift my dad or husband or brother? Of course, it's a gift so I can't complain.
