Internet Surfing : A Disease

If you become an addict to it, it is a dangerous disease like any other addiction. But if you use it properly as you have mentioned, it is helpful for you.

I have it, but i use it to make some extra money so I can buy some things I want to get.

I think it can be addicted if you used for playing games or anything like that without making any money. This might be a kind of disease with the other but it's a kind of gold mine from the other. I am surfing the internet everyday and I am earning money doing it. So, this is not addicted but a kind of jobs to make a living...

hi, iritsharma, welcome to mylot... you are right. when I was in front of computer, I always forget another activities that I must do. sometimes I forget to eat and have my lunch/ dinner lately, it's like I never hungry if I busy with my laptop but still.... I can't get enough withour my laptop and do internet surfing

yes, I think most people use the internet for passing time. Unfortunately I am also doing the same. It becomes a bad habit.

I can really consider such vice a disease. It is not only limited to surfing the net but also includes playing online games and such. Its very addictive for I am also a victim of this way back in high school. However, I just manage to stop from this by looking for other alternatives to consume my time and activities which captures my interest.

Hahaha! I guess, I am also infected with it coz I am logged on for more than 10 hours a day.

It is true when people just waste time on the net and do nothing useful and spend hours like that. I have so much better things to do than to waste my time here on the net. My neighbor came home yesterday and she wanted to use net so she sat on the net and she went to facebook and since there were none of her friends online she said she was bored and did not want to use net anymore since no one is online. I told her there are other good things to do and not only chat on facebook. So day time at work she is just on facebook chatting and nothing. lol Gosh, there are so much betetr things to do. I agree with especially when it comes to computer games. Because while you are playing sometimes you forget what time is it unless you're not that addicted. I can say that I am an internet addict but I use it in a right way because of my blogs, websites and etc.
