how about if your discussion is setted to be on top, plus earning or not? thanks

ahmpt.. how to start this discussion pertaining to earning in mylot; that if your discussion being started will be placed on the top, what would be the implication of it? would it increased your earnings or how could it affect to your earning rates. well i would like to re-emphasize that we are being encouraged to posts back quality discussions or comments/ responses and so alike. for maybe one of the prerequisite that your discussion would be an entry to qualify to be on top is because of its qualitative value. i cannot locate on faqs if the discussion will be posted at the top, their would be an equal ratings for that in earnings. OR MAYBE, i just did overlooked it.
i am being inspired by someone to write this discussion and special thanks for that lady. i would like to know some information how to be and what would be the other ways as you participated to improve your knowledge about lots of things to stay being productive.
i am willing to hear some information, violent reaction

MyLot have never told us exactly what criteria are used to determine how discussions are ranked as "today's top" and "hot". It may be that the discussions which receive the most positive ratings in the Discussions Rating System are those which qualify for the "today's top" discussions, in which case, because the DRS is ALSO factored in to the Earnings algorithm, there might be some (indirect) 'advantage' in having a discussion listed there.
I would strongly advise you not to worry too much about how earnings work and whether you earn more for any particular thing. The best way to use MyLot is to give your best in terms of quality and to fully involve yourself in good and worthwhile discussions. If you do this and forget about what might earn the most, you will generally find that you will, in fact, earn more.
Quality of participation (and whether you are actually enjoying yourself) is what matters here, not whether your discussion appears in a particular list, what your User Rating is or even what your 'star' rating is, though if your participate with quality, people will begin to rate your contributions more and your MyLot Reputation WILL increase!

I ought to point out that we are asked NOT to "Post anything that inaccurately explains the myLot earnings algorithm." This topic, although in the form of a question, is very likely to be seen as 'inaccurate explanation' (or at least, likely to promote such), so I am expecting no earnings here!

It's up to Admin (as always) to decide what goes and what stays. We can only guess at how he might see this discussion (and I hope he leaves it because it is - or has become - rather more about 'general practice' than about earnings as such).

but let me clear this out, you mean since this topic is all about earning, this one is void? i am not certain about that thing, but this is not a discussion who wants clarity which impose questions that how algorithm is being done by the personnel involved with this. if i am right with my speculation on what you are saying, then this discussion is a violation and that could be deleted.

In my observation nothing implication to our earning just knowing your discussion is on top or I call it blockbuster. Including may be being known in such discussion and may be more chances to become interesting to others.

i was absent for few days, because i was in the hospital tending my bf as his watcher and giving assistance to his needs for he met a motorcycle accident and that was on sunday. glad he was being discharged from the hospital by his doctor and he is in their home sweet home to regain his total recovery.
ahmpt... maybe so, but somehow, how can we explain what is the relevancy when yours is being seen at the top. would it be because for some reasons, your discussion made sense? or somehow has a qualitative value? what is the relation of it when we are being encouraged to comment or reply with quality content? help me figure this out, maybe i trigger some ideas in you that allows you to share it with me in here...

Actually for me being encouranged to comment or reply with quality content when I seen the title itself if it is catchy and very interesting to know wat is inside of you,then when I read the content I'm always encurage to put my best resonse and idea about the content in that case I have inspired to do so...

yes... on my part, i do not know the quality content value of my responses as i did responding but it were surely based on my understanding as i read the discussion. sometimes it is really hard to relate with the story but somehow would be able to manage to answer for i think, even if we are not being forced to do so, somehow that is the kind of connection we need to do here for some purposes, i guess. so better understand the context and tell what you can tell and whatsoever about it. hehe...
i do not know what am talking about now, hehe!

The top listing discussions means not more earning but you getting more responses and if you will comment on it then you will earn more. If you maintain you writing in quality then your earning more. But yes if our discussions are in top list means feel happy.

hope to get more responses even my discussions cannot be displayed at top forum. but you have a point there, that your discussion could be easily found by others for it was being rampage at hot list so as the responder would see it, it depends on them if they want to participate or not. well, i guess all member's discussion being placed in different categories so, hot not not, still they can be found too depending on the taste and mood of the members in here...

Well, I personally do not know what the criteria, Mylot enter our discussions in "today's top."
I, who I have not written a lot of threads, I also happened to me that some of mine end precisely on top.
You also said that it is not exactly specified in the FAQ if there is a particular relevance to the ranking of discussions in writing.
I from my knowledge and experience, I believe that it is based primarily on a qualitative factor, as well as the subject matter or maybe since the discussion is long (often I see user write threads, only one line long. I think it's impossible that they end up in top!)
