I just want to ask my fellow mylotters about something needed in putting up a beverage business. I am thinking about processing some papers at the Mayor's Office for the Business permit, next will be at the Bureau of Revenues(BIR) and else more. Which one should I process first? How much will I possibly be paying? Thanks for giving me some information.

You have to secure first a Barangay clearance from which your wanted place of business is supposedly made. Then go the Department of Trade and Industry to register your proposed business in the area and you must declare your initial capital,so that you could be given the appropriate permit to operate and pay your fees for the purpose. Then go to the City Hall to acquire your business permit according to city ordinances and has payments I can not state your payments because it all depends on your capital how they compute your overall payments. Then, report to the Bureau of Internal Revenue so that you are given a permit to operate and be given a due time to prepare your BIR receipts within a given time duration. You can now start your business as ;long as you have your official receipts ready for any business transactions made by your business. All of these are easily said but really very hard to do,yet you needed all these permits to operate your business.I wish you do all permits well and good luck to your business.

I could not realized how you could minimized time to each offices you are obliged to go just to make your business a legitimate one.I have all done that as well when we have still our business in operation. You could just be given enough span of time the permit is useful, then you have to secure another the same one when the time limit expires. It is very inspiring to secure another business permit when your business is doing fine and profitable. This could just happen when you are very efficient in making crucial decisions just to make your business excel.

Hi Berting! Until now, I have not yet done processing my permit with all offices mentioned. I am not yet that inspired because my business had started but it is not yet doing well in the market and I have been adding up capital. Nevertheless, I am determined to keep on because I have already quit my job. Starting October 16 I will no longer be employed. Wish me best!

For putting up a business, you need to go to DTI first, then apply for a Mayor's Permit then barangay clearance. BIR applications can be done after having your DTI license.
