In India festival named Ganesh Chaturti has started. It is festival related to Ganeshji who according to Indian mythology is a god who takes all the trobles from people in order to make them happy and peaceful.
Thus festival is celebrated all over India but mostly it is celebrated in grand scale in Mumbai.
In Indian movies like don 2 and agneepath they have shooted songs for this festival.

Yes,ganesh chaturthi is celebrated grandly in maharastra,india.people worship lord ganesha and ask him to take away their all troubles.A different range of food items are prepared to offer him.indeed our bollywood is very fond of lord ganesha.as many movies are dedicated to him.a series of "my friend ganesha"are there.effect of ganesh chaturthi have been depicted in "atithti tum kab jaoge" and many more.
