Just this afternoon, I didn't realized that I already ran out of cash. I really do not want to borrow money from my colleagues so I just thought that maybe I can use my paypal money to order food online. It is a good thing that I found out that Shakeys Pizza do accept paypal as a method for payment. I am very happy after knowing that this is actually possible.
Have you also tried ordering pizza or food in general using your paypal money?

thanks for sharing this. i once used my eon card to pay for an ultrasound because i got short on cash. on my way home after that, i did a balance check when i passed by a unionbank atm machine and was pleased to see that only the actual amount was deducted, no other fees.
were you at the office when you ordered this online? i mean was this for your lunch or dinner while at work?

It is good to know that we can use our online earnings during those situations. I ordered and have it delivered at work. I've done that four times already. I am afraid that they can not deliver at our home because I am living quite far in the city and no longer a part of the metro.

Hi, yes I have heard about that too and they say that it will be automaticall deducted from your money once it was trasnferred to your account. I haven't used my eon for more than 2 years already so I supposed that they would deduct some amount to my money so I just decided to just use my paypal as it is.

I haven't ordered pizza but it's pretty good that you can do that and treat yourself with the extra money you do make online. It's very handy when places like that will accept paypal but does the money really come in that quick for them? It's interesting

Ohhh well that's good then, as long as they got a good system in place which makes it all easy that's great. More places should start doing this I think

Hi, thanks for your reply. I used to transfer my paypal money to my bank account as well but I haven't renewed my card for over two years already so it is pretty nice that I can still use my paypal money even without withdrawing it.

I don't see the point of topping up more money or entrusting my money to Paypal just so I could order pizza. Besides Paypal takes a cut after the pizza company receive money on their end.

Thanks for your reply. In my paypal transaction details, it says that they charged me PhP 15.00 transaction fee and PhP 11.77 online fee amounting to PhP 26.77 as total fees. I think that this lower because McDonalds charge PhP 40.00 for their delivery. My paypal money are the money I earned online, I did not actually deposit money to my paypal account just to order pizza online.

Thanks Raine. I am also looking for more establishments especially restaurants/food chains that accept paypal money so I could use mind. I just can't withdraw my paypal money using my eon card since I haven't renewed my card for about 2 years already so if I transfer my money there, I believe that they would deduct my renewal fees, is that right?

Yes, most likely. To be honest I don't really make use of paypal funds and transfer it to my bank account or credit card because they deduct lots of charges from my account just to be able to initiate the transfer. So it's really better to use it as is, from paypal.

I have used PayPal to order food online before. Before places would let you do that I usually paid with a card, but I do have a habit for forgetting all of the details, so being able to use PayPal is really useful.

It is really useful especially to people like me who don't really have a credit card at present and wants to order or buy online. This experience has really encouraged me to work hard online as I was able to treat my friends with pizza because of my online earnings. Pretty awesome for me. Thank you.

That sounds so great. In fact I always want to pay by credit card or something like that rather than cash. As I don't have to have a touch with the cash since it is not so clean enough. And my credit card bank will give me some gifts according to my consuming. And this is why I like to pay by it. But here it seems the fastfood restaurants don't accept it yet. Perhaps they think the amount is small and they don't want to pay for the charges to the bank. So they accept to cash payment only.

I created my account several years ago, for verification it needed credit card and for fund transfer it needed a my bank account number..
as per reserve bank of india guide lines, the fund there gets transferred to my bank account here, thus balance is zero always
i can't buy any thing lol.
thanks for sharing

I haven't ordered pizza for more than a year, so I don't know if there are changes. Regardless, I am not aware that pizza places accept Paypal as a payment method in US. Most pizza places accept major credit (Visa and Master Card), cash (for sure) and check. Some places are trying to eliminate check payment.
If this option exist, I would probably take advantage of it.

I've been in that same boat - short on cash on hand but with money tied up in PayPal. I don't know where Shakey's is, but the national chains like Pizza Hut and Papa John's don't accept PayPal.
I did find a site called http://paypizzapal.com that accepts your PayPal and sends you an e-gift card to use right away for Pizza Hut and other popular places.
A lifesaver when you're hungry and your money is tied up in PayPal.
