Chelsea and Juventus fought hard for a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea the title owners started like a house on fire with 2 goals from their young rising star Oscar. Both goals were great finishes, with the second one being a sublime one that left Buffon stunned. But Juventus hit back after that with a well taken goal from Vidal to make it 2-1 at the half time. After sustained pressure, Juventus finally managed to get the equalizer in the 80th minute via Quagliarella to take a point from this fixture.
I think for Chelsea this is two points dropped.
Cheers!

Personally, I expected Juventus no to be beaten at Stamford Bridge, as I consider them having a better team than Chelsea. Chelsea may be the title holder in the Champions League, but it was more a lost title by Bayern, than a won one for Chelsea. I haven't seen the game, only the highlights, and I think Juve had the clearer chances, Quagliarella having a great shot which has hit only the crossbar. I think that there are no chances for Chelsea to have a great performance this year in the Champions League, they will not have that blind luck anymore.

Actually the first 30 minutes was dominated by Chelsea. That is the period when they took the 2 goal advantage. After that they let Juventus back in the game and Juventus took complete advantage. They could have actually gone on to win the game in the end.
Cheers!

Juventus comes to Stamford Bridge with status, Italy league winner..
i ever quoted the Vucinic comment..he said that this is the hardest challenge because they must play against the winner of champions league..
But we come here as italy league winner and it`s good for confident in the home of champions league..
we aren`t afraid of any team here..the level of 32 team are equal in champions league..
and they proved it

Indeed it was a tough game. Chelsea might be the title owner but juventus is always a tough opponent. Of course the result was positive only for juventus since it was an away game for them. But let's not forget how chelsea got the cl title last year. They were the outsiders and out of nowhere they became european champions against the titans of barcelona and bayern! I won't be surprised if chelsea pulls out something great this year as well, even though drogba is not there, they got oscar who seems to be on fire!

Indeed. Drogba was phenomenal and really experienced and mature. He could score out of nowhere, and was also a big help all around the field, from defense to offense. Especially in the last games of last year's champions league his efforts were mindblowing.

Is this a slow start or a sign of something serious?

Ya juvenile fought back against the two goal lead by the home side. I would say Chelsea had to maintain their lead but failed in doing so. Oscar is a rising star and he displayed his best last game and utilized the opportunity given to him. Now Chelsea has to fight back for goals in juventus's home ground hope they will perform their best.

To give up a two goal lead is a big disappointment for any teams playing at home. Surely it is a two point dropped for Chelsea. But if we look at the match from the angle of a team in rebuilding from the departures of some influential players like Drogba, Essien, and Meireles, although they had only two new players in Oscar and Hazard in their starting lineup, they did quite well as a team offensively against the Italian champion in their very first UCL match after their very defensive way of play to capture the European crown last season from the super teams of Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
With Hazard and Oscar finding their feet in the team, with a more balance way of playing style than last season, I think Chelsea would get better as they play more matches. If Torres could regain the form that made him the feared striker that he was known, Chelsea could be even more dangerous.

Yes, after the start that Hazard had in the initial few games, it is time for Oscar to show some of his class. But yes they were disappointed to let Juventus back in the game. I think defensively now things need to change at Chelsea. Probably John Terry needs to be replaced.
Cheers!

This is a pretty fair result for both teams as Chelsea's lack of focus in the second half, while Juventus struggled in the second round. Chelsea really had 2 goals ahead at half-time thanks to goals from Oscar, but all were destroyed after Vidal and Quagriarella equalized utilizing feedback from Marchisio. But I think Chelsea store huge disappointment with this outcome.
