Rice is basic supply of food to Asian people mostly. If in western, they don't take rice as their primary food supply for living, they take bread or meat.
I'm Asian and I must ear rice everyday. But I experience being overseas in western part, at first I don't know where to buy rice, then I go for bread for 1 month. Fortunate that I can take it. I don't feel weak, or hungry or tired without taking rice. So, I think taking rice is something like usage or culture to Asian. Maybe it's because the earlier people found that only rice that suited to Asian land (geographical factor) as a food supply to them, then they start planting rice and eat it daily. And when come to our time, we just follow to ear rice.

Rice is a staple food in asian countries and most being served in asian cuisines.
Every asian country has it’s unique and different way of serving rice be it as a meal, as a dessert, and as a drink.
Rice also has a wide range of variety from brown, white, and sticky rice. In addition, there are different modes of cooking such food be it sauté’, fried, boiled, and baked. Either way, they are very appealing and very delicious.

I like to eat rice also; it's good for you and it's not expensive. Lately though I have become concerned about the issues with arsenic and rice. I am thinking of trying to grow my own rice. I read that all you have to do is throw a handful of grains into a container that has a little soil and some water and the rice will sprout.

I am from India.Rice is the staple food especially in the eastern part of our country. All my family members take rice both in their lunch and dinner. At first,I too used to take rice everyday. But I don't know how I suddenly started taking wheat in my dinner. You will be surprised to know that I have not been taking lunch for years. How this happened,I don't know. But all other family members can't live without taking rice in their lunch and dinner.

I also am a big rice eater! For some, they consider it as vegetables but for our family, it's not. It's a staple in our table in every meal and it's just not complete having not to eat rice in a day!
