Why O why will my parents not let me get Minecraft. It's so unfair as all my friends have it yet my mum won't let me get it. I have the money for it and I said that I would buy but still I'm not allowed it. :(

Ah, not me. I've had it over a year now, and am still deeply entrenched in discovering, tearing down, and building bigger. I think the key is to not play for hours on end. Instead I play almost entirely on weekends, and never for more than an hour or two at a time. This makes it so I don't get tired of looking at it before I'm done playing it; if that makes any sense.

Well right now I going to tell you how its like playing minecraft.Well you start a new world then you enter it and you roam everywhere and act all ''oo'' and ''cooool''
until its night time. When night time comes your gonna be like ''what the heck is that green thing?''Then when you inspect it it blows up,your health meter goes down too 3 or 2 hearts and thats when it begins. You run around panicing and digging holes and trying to bury your self when you see a skeleton and it shoots you leaving you 1 heart. And then you die because you got killed by a spider. Then you start raging and getting of the computer and end of story.Trust me it happened to me.

I am sure everyone here can agree Minecraft is awesome, sorry for teasing perhaps talk to your "mum" and find out why she won't let you buy it. If that doesn't work there is another option. Buy it and don't let her find out then tell her a year and two months later and hopefully she won't "kill you"
and you will laugh the whole thing off.

Minecraft can be very addictive. Maybe your parents are just concerned that it would affect your studies if you get this game. Maybe if you could assure them that you'll be disciplined enough and not play minecraft during school days, they might let you have one. My 8-year-old son loves this game, but he knows he can only play it during weekends or if he has no classes the following day.

I'm sure your parents have some reason for saying know... talk to them about it. Show them pictures and screenshots and let them know it is incredibly non-violent. Most games these days are very violent, and minecraft is a really good game for almost all ages.
In the end though, if your parents say no then you need to respect them. You live in their house, under their rule, and must respect their wishes at least until you move into your own house.
Sorry, man.
