Reversed racism

When I see movies (USA made usually), I notice that black people tend to attack white people just because they are white.
There have been racims issues in the past but most of it is gone now.
If a white person goes in a "black" neighborhood, he/she is attacked. In the movies....
Does this really happen?
So, isn't that reversed racism? Being targeted just because you are white?

It doesn't happen all the time, it DID happen after the Rodney King trial

Yes, it is reverse racism, but there are those folks that say "It can't be racism unless you've been put down" or "been a slave"... excuse me?

We had a rape incident in an island in Greece, where a man from Pakistan attacked a 15 year old girl. Extreme Racists(pretty much neonazi group) in Greece tried to take him from the Police and started attacking alla immigrants in the country.
They racist because they have hate in their heart but mostly because most of them are brainless people.
Normal people give immigrants food and clothes.

It does really happen and it is racism just the same as the white people that will attack black people. It isn't reverse racism at all. Yes, in the main sense, people do think of racism as white people being hateful to black people. However, there is really no races that are excluded from racism. There are acts of racism that are inflicted upon white people, Hispanic people, black people and even Asian individuals.

Reversed racism is a term I thought about. I used it to show the acts of black people against white people because of all the actions of white people in the past.

Yes it happens and it is racism. Trouble is that not many care about it, not the popular media. And often it goes unreported and when reported, it is excused. So most of the time, the only way people can find about it is to watch the alternative news programs or the conservative news. What happens it brings up a lot of white liberal guilt where the liberal whites feel ashamed of their whitness and that they deserve to be attacked.
Look what happened to that couple of reporters who were attacked by a black mob, no one helped them.

I think I can answer this one, but before I do, I want you to know not "every" black or white person is a racist!!!
My husband works in a school that is mostly black and he has made really good friends there over there years, but he has also experienced very bad conflicts with some black people. One, a supervisor, literally tried to choke him one time. But like now, there is a co-worker who is black and they talk on the phone during off hours like best friends.
Myself, I don't get out much, but my first and best friend I made through online college is black and just this past August I went to her wedding. She is an inspiration to me, especially when we get those classes we both "hate" like math.
So racism comes from both ways, but there are people who refuse to accept the difference and make good friends whose skin color is darker or lighter than their own.

He was a school supervisor and the reason was my husband said something to another worker, (Not a co-worker, this group came in to work on the school or something) and then this guy told the supervisor who attacked him.

yes, blacks were originally slaves that were brought into the new world. then there was a time when they were released from slavery and got to live free legally.
sadly, there were some who does not want this. some who still considered them as "slaves as they ought to be". and this brought about the hate groups during those earlier times. some of it still exists today.

In the course of world history, I think that blacks/africans were the people most tortured by Europeans and Europeans of the new world(USA).
There are black communities in a lot of island just because their ancestors were brought there as slaves.
Hate might be in some people's hearts just because of all that..

Things like this really don't happen. Yes there is still racism but not like it was back in the day. There is always going to be someone in the world weather they live in the US or not that doesn't like a certain color, gender or even sexuality. But what is played in the movies isn't how the US is really like and movies about other places in the world even I know that is not the real truth. Movies are movies and they want you to believe this is how things are when they are not.

Yes, it does happen. It's dangerous to go into some neighborhoods if one is white. I agree with dorannmwin that it isn't reverse racism, it's just racism. Discriminating against blacks isn't any more racist than any other kind of racism.
There are many other ways that racism is expressed and not just physical danger, though.

Why do black people still feel that hey have to act this way against white people?

White people discriminate against me all of the time, just by their stares of course but black people tend to be physical or say bad comments.
And the women would shake their necks and say something like "mmmhhhmm" rudely just because they don't like something about you.
That does happen especially in LA, Blacks can't go into Hispanic neighborhoods or other black neighborhoods.
I personally wouldn't go into any type of neighborhood that I don't know anyone personally.

I am glad you responded in this discussion. Is there a lot of violence in LA?
What percentage of white people or other (Hispanic, Chinese or other) have this kind of behaviour towards black people?

Racism doesn`t have an arrow, Kostas. There is no racism and reversed racism. Racism is only one, no matter what the targeted group and what the attackers. Racism starts when you are asked your race to issue a passport.

Well racism is something we can never avoid but to tell you the truth I am not into racism I mean I do not like offending other people and also races, I believe all people deserve equal respect.

Me too, I respect alla people.
My only problem (in Greece) is that the state doesn't even try to control immigrants that come and go everyday. I only blame the authorities for that and because our economy is having a big problem because of immigrants in the last 20 years.
All economies can only stand a certain number of immigrants.

Hi friend, i hate racism, it is really a great sin to split the person based on the color. Every one is equal in god's creation. Beating a person based on his color is really a great stupidity. I think racism is prevented in various places. If the racism is completely stopped in most of the places then there is no need for the reverse one.
