Ha, I was doing the laundry yesterday of mine, and I was taking the washed, wet laundry out of the washer and out came a $10. bill. It was like I was being paid to do my own laundry, teehee. Actually, I had left it in the pants pocket of one of my pants and was actually hoping to find my CVS card instead but I'll take the $10. (I just now have to get another card though via CVS cause I seemed to have lost it and it was just sent to me.) Do you ever wash money in your clothes or if not, what other things do you find in the laundry at laundry time like this?

The most I ever found was a dollar, but most of the time I find loose change. The change goes into my kitty bank and then when I have enough I roll it up and put into my savings account. I have a CVS card and I just give them my phone number and they can look it up and give you whatever discounts you are entitled to. I have a CVS card and a Hallmark card and give out my phone number. I wish I could find money in the washing machine.

Well dear friend, I have never had this luck, and I'll tell you more, to me, have fared far worse!
About ten years ago my mother put in the washing machine trouser pockets not realizing that there was my driver's license. Result, documents and counter-documents, money spent to renew it.
Recently, the same way I have "burned" a pen drive 8GB.
Well I would say that you were luckier than me finding $ 10, making them dry and then still usable!

Oh no, that was quite a bad idea to put all those documents in them pants and then have you mother accident put them in the laundry. I would have been so devastated. Also I never put anything like a 8GB HD in them as I now I won't be able to remember it being there all the time.

I didn't find money when I was about to do the laundry, but what I do find is money from a wallet that I have never used for quite some time, I usually change wallets just for a change of mood and vibes and after like a year I saw some $100 bill sitting on my old wallet. I forgot it was something I saved before, happy about it :D

I used to hire someone to laundry our clothes every week end. But, one time the woman did not report so I have to do it myself to washed our clothes. It was lucky for me because I saw paper bills and some coins came out from our washer which I appreciated very much because in my own simple ways it means a lot for me especially for my marketing the next day. And, it came to my mind that maybe this had happened many times which the laundry woman just keep it to herself and did not return what she found. This time I make sure I inform my kids to check their pockets for any valuable materials that might get wet and destroyed .

Lucky you that you could hire some, I could only wish for that to happen for me one day. Good thing she couldn't work that day and you found the money yourself. I wonder how many other times it has happened and she kept the money, heehee. Probably not to many times. I guess she thought of it as her "tip" if she didn't say anything but no one will ever know--except her.

The last time when I was about to do the laundry in the washing machine commonly used by the tenants of the flat I'm renting, I saw my housemate's clothes and pants inside, including his knuckled belt! We have also collected some change in the washing machine that we have put them inside a container beside it.

Oh I oftentimes wash money and that because my husband always leaves bills on his pocket. I can only discover them when they are already floating on the washing machine or when I am already folding or ironing them. I don't have the habit of checking the pockets of pants and other clothes before putting them in the washing machine even if I know I should.
The other day while I was folding all the washed clothes, I found a hundred peso bill half sticking out from my husband's short pants. Well as always I gave it back to my husband and then he bought me slice of sansrival cake out of that money. It's so sweet!

I only have them in my pocket when I know I'm going to the store or the garage sales as it is sometimes a hassle to go look in my purse and find exactly what I need when my hands are full with stuff. Oh that was so nice of you to return the peso to your hubby and he was nice to buy you a slice of cake out of it as well. You were rewarded for your honesty in that case.

That's great. You've some money in your laundry. Me, I don't put money in my jeans' pockets. I just put some tissue paper so I sometimes forget to take them out and piss me off. LOL. I don't like doing my laundry with tissue paper in the water. They look so messy so I have to change the water again. LOL. I sometimes forget my handkerchiefs too. Happy mylotting.

I only do it in case I need my hands free and can't go looking in my purse for it easily or readily. But I know what you mean about the tissue paper, I have done that and it makes the entire wash messy. The clothes are filled with the paper all over it in pieces. I never use handkerchiefs but my other does.

I get paid sometimes when I change my handbag, but I rarely now get paid for doing my laundry because most of my pants don`t have pockets. Besides, I tend to place hankerchiefs in every pocket when I have tham, so I doon`t put the money there. But handbags are something else and once in a while I have found a very small treasure.

Oh I have to have pants with pockets. I know all of mine don't have them but the ones that do I'm usually most comfortable in anyways unless they're sweat pants in the winter time. I have found money in my handbags also as that is where I usually put the money so it's really no surprise to me.

Hi there NailTech,
Before I always encounter the same thing though what I am getting is not a USD. Good thing it was not torn.

Do I?! I am not used to checking on pockets before doing the laundry, so most that I get from it while washing them are coins, peso bills, pens, and some pieces of paper. But this morning when I was doing the laundry again, I was shocked seeing what fell of from my son's jacket----it was his RETAINERS! Good thing it was still in good condition, otherwise i have to send him back to the dentist this weekend to have a new one made. He sure is gong to have some explanations to do when he comes back home....

That's happened to me a lot! I once found $24 in an old pair of pants of mine that I used to wear before I had babies and I was....I guess u could say I was spring cleaning and I found the money which I assumed was paper but when I dug into the pocket I found it. I also hide money in and around my car. So when I get to cleaning my car I always find loose change and small dollar bills!

Usually I try to go through my clothes pockets before I wash them, but on occasion I forget to and it's always a nice surprise! I like when the weather changes and you put on a lighter/heavier jacket and you find money in your pocket, those are the times when I'm usually looking for money to get me by. When I do laundry and find that I've washed money, I feel like I'm "laundering" money! Sometimes I find hair pins or paper clips in my pocket, with my husband I'll sometimes find screws.

I usually forget to, one of my bad habits I suppose, but we all have them. Most of mine are minor or pertaining to myself this way. Yep those are the times when you are most likely to find the money when the seasons change up and you need to put another jacket on, etc. You're exactly right. I certainly did launder my $10. I dried it out and now it's in perfect condition again, didn't even spend it today either at the garage sales like I would have wanted. But it would have been clean.

When I was still single, my mom will always be happy if she finds some bills floating in the washing machine. it may either be from me or from my brother's pants. but she said lately "i think there is really a crisis nowadays. i can't find a floating money in the washer anymore."

sometimes, but very rarely I find change. Other times it's my name tag in with the washing as I put it into the dryer. Luckily the name tag can survive it.
CVS will look your card up via phone number whilst at the register, so as long as that information is included on your card, no need to get another. Just dont' forget the phone number! lol.

I once in awhile find change as well. I have this habit of leaving it in a pocket at times.Name tag from where you work you mean? That is easily understandable. I'm glad it survives the wash.
I don't understand how they will look up the card, do I just tell them the card was lost every time I go there and they look it up at the register? I don't know what the phone number is??? Where do I find it? Is it my own phone number or ? Sorry I'm such a ditz about this.
