Do you think its good to have a gun at home for protection?

Crime rates right now are increasing and sometimes theirs are night that I can't sleep especially when theirs some news coming outside or on our roof for I don't know if its a burglar or its just a cat in the roof.
I also read in the news each week that theirs a murder or massacre in their house after their house has been burglarized.
That's why I'm thinking to own a gun just for protection.

i dont think so,because only people who does the bad things would be wanting for such unwanted protection and i feel its just a pain in the back.
instead the government protection is much more clear,simple and safe better to avoid burglars

How can you avoid burglars? If theirs a way that anyone can avoid burglars then I guess its already been done. Problem is that no matter how you want your home to be safe you can't control what robbers thing. As long you are living in a good house they suspect that you have money they will going to rob you. So its better to protect yourself in case that going to happen.
