If you have watched the games, you would agree that Man Utd to lucky to have walk away with three points. The problems that is affecting their midfield and defense had not been addressed. While they are still good enough for the Premier League, they will be badly exposed in the Champions League. If they can scrape through the group stage and add reinforcement in January, they might just have that small change of winning it. Else, sorry but nope.

ya the new signings have been good but the team lacks in defense a lot these days, the pace of Champions league is quiet high as compared to premier league. And some players are also loosing possession a lot like in the last game Antonio Valencia lost possession 36 times which is the most time any player until now. If Man Utd increases their potential then they can easily clear the group stages.

It is too early to be predicting the winner of the Champions League this year. I think the first assignment for Man United would be safely go through to the second phase. Last year they were stunned in the group stages itself and this time around they would not like to make the same mistake. Of course, they have started with a 1-0 win which was largely unimpressive, but more importantly means 3 points in the bag.
Cheers!

I am also united fan but it is too early to predict regarding winner of champions league.in the first game, though united created many chances but wasn't impressive and sometimes, midfield as well as defence was aweful so united have to make proper decisions and play according to the opponent club then they can succeed.

To win the title of course, the way is still very long and complicated challenge, we can not see from the first game. The first game it seemed difficult MU beat Galatasaray.

They simply haven't enough class to win Champions League at that moment. There are teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid in that competition that are way better. We saw what happen last year when 13th in Spain now just destroy MUFC, what we can say about the giants in Spain.

hello,
I think Manchester United is one of the best club of the world and has a great history of making a very good comeback. This season has also started with a bang for them as they signed one of the most valuable player of the world from Arsenal and he is really helping Man Utd to go ahead. But still I dont think that Manchester united has the capability to win the champions League this year. My best bet is still Barcelona. They are a strong side and with return of David Villa, they will be the Club of the tournament I think. Messi is still the best in the world.
