People on ebay make me so angry..
No joke, it’s got to the point where if I didn’t have such an extreme online shopping addiction [or at least window shopping lol] I would stop using ebay altogether.
I sold 2 items on ebay 2 weeks ago. I packaged said items up, but I was a bit slow in doing it as I was very sick and had the flu.
I let both buyers know that I was very ill, and whilst I was able to package the items, there would be a delay in posting them as I couldn’t get to a post office as I was sick. I also stated that my partner works full-time, couldn’t get to the post office before it closed, but that I would try and get someone to do it.
Didn’t matter anyway, because I ended up having to go back to work, so posted the items.
Done.
Next thing I get emails from the buyers telling me they haven’t received their items and it’s been nearly 2 weeks etc etc etc.. I email back explaining that I had told them I was sick and would post them as soon as possible, and BOTH buyers, email me back and pretty much said I was sick for too long. They pretty much said they had expected a delay of a day or two. A DAY OR TWO FOR THE FLU?
Some people are just horrible. I mean I know they wanted their purchases, and I felt terrible about it, but what on earth can I do when I physically can’t get out of the house.
Not to mention I hyave a notice on my ebay account that states “Will post with 5 working days of cleared funds.” .. so if I post within 5 days, it takes 2 working days to get there, then technically the goods were only 3 or 4 days late, which fits in with the delay they had originally expected in the first place!!
What do you think of this?

I have had buyers send messages like this as well. I also find that many are rude even when they are contacting you with a simple question or comment. A few weeks ago I sold a nail varnish and as it was new and unopened I didn't realise it was dried up inside (the other ones I had are all fine) and received such a rude e-mail about it, when I was quite happy to accept responsibility and replace the item free of charge. There is just no need for the attitude that some people have.

no need at all! they ruin the experience for everyone else.. and the worst part is that you cannot leave a buyer negative feedback! that is very wrong!

I think they were just concern and just anxious to get there gift . I remember I purchase something online and it take 3 weeks for me to get it and I was so angry I email the seller I got no respond so I contact PayPal lol PayPal contact the person . They apologize because I am the customer they also send me a free gift and I appreciate it since I had to wait for 3 weeks .
At least you respond to your buyers, but that is how business is they will not care that your sick .

I understand that they were probably anxious, but I emailed them within 24 hours of them paying for the items and explained that the postage would be delayed due to my illness, so they had no reason to be anxious.
but i do understand what you mean., i can be very understanding about most things, but when people just don't reply that really really annoys me!!

well, i know that i am one of those people that tend to be a little anxious when waiting for a package when i order something from ebay, but i also know that when i have sold something, sometimes i haven't been able to mail something right away.
maybe you should try pintrest, then you don't have to worry about buying anything.
