a sore friendship..

Why do people like to rub things in your face? And I mean actually rub things in your face, not just tell you things.
someone I know had just come back from holiday. They have a lot more money than I do, and flaunt it at every available opportunity. They just took themselves away on holiday for a week, and know I can’t afford to even go away for the weekend.
Since they have come home they have done nothing but go on and on and on about their holiday. And not only that, but when they did eventually ask me how I was and I told them I wasn’t well for a week, the proceeded to tell me how much money they spent on these insane dinners, and nights out..
Are you kidding me?
I’m happy for people who do well for themselves and enjoy life, but I don’t agree with using it to make other people feel bad..
What do you think of this?

I agree my friend. 
If you know that telling stories that would make your friend belittled, then you better stop it. You can divert the story to something that can make him/her better instead.
Better still, if you came from a vacation, you can bring that friend a token, to make her feel better at least.

exactly! he doesn't need to rub it in my face, the wonderful things he has that i dont!
at least i would know not to do that to someone!

I can sum it up to three words, "Low Self-Esteem" People who brag on themselves don't feel important enough so by making another feel bad, they "think" they are better.I am sorry these people did this to you, they obviously need some help themselves and don't know how to get it.

awk i'll just brush it off carm, they may have the money but i'm a better person for knowing i wouldn't do that to them even if i had the money! :)

Arrogant fools. All they can think about is money. MOney makes their world go round.
I think it's very rude when people flaunt things to hurt others. I don't consider those people as my friend. Real friends should be more sensitive.
I tend to get away from those kind of people who makes me feel less of person because they have more money than me.
